I call it a division rivalry.
The differences:
Say Clemson was 1-11 and we were 11-1 (I know, fat chance. Stay with me here). I would still love the frick out of beating Clemson.
If it were UGA that was 1-11? Meh.
It's been an important division game RECENTLY, and the games for the past 10 years have been close.

You just aren't understanding my point. We're arguing practically the same thing.
Y'all aren't pushing that we're rivals. Y'all are pushing the idea that we consider y'all to be rivals. I should have conveyed that better.
You guys take that thread a little too seriously, and the only reason it's now annual is because it bothers y'all so much. Your thread about that thread is nearly as long as the thread you're bitching about.
We don't consider y'all a rival. We just dislike y'all more than anyone else in the SEC due to getting our asses kicked before we joined the SEC and geography. That's it. I mean who the frick else are we gonna talk about? No history before 1992 with Tenn, Florida, Kentucky, etc. If we talk about Clemson we get the "SEC rant!" treatment.

Auburn is 4-10 against Alabama and Georgia the last 7 years. Their only wins against both are the years they went to the National Title game (2010, 2013).

How many times have you heard them say, "well Bammer only beats really bad Auburn teams.....they never beat really good Auburn teams?"
They have a 5-10 record vs UGA and LSU in the last 15 yrs.

I love how we've beaten Tennessee just about every way you can possibly think of the past 11 years. 1 point wins, blowout wins, close games where we've made them quit in the second half, wins where they were the better team, etc.
