getting Kamara the ball on those little swing routes when he is already at full speed is deadly. I still don't think he is much more than a slot guy, but he is terrifying on the edge.

He isn't getting enough touches imo. He only had 7 vs SCar and scored 2 TDs. Hes averaging 6.5 yards a carry I think.

What if LF7 had decided to go to Alabama and those 2 split 15 carries a game................

Hell, what if Henry had gone to UGA and Henry/Chubb/Gurley had all been in the same backfield for a year.

He's very much like Drake. I have to think it is hard to find good ways to run stuff specifically for them without screwing up your overall playcalling scheme. But, you have to find ways to get them the ball in space.

How? LSU fans ASSURED us that LF and co would DESTROY Alabama. He didn't, they sucked arse, and criticism is warranted.

As a LSU fan, I agree with this 100% fwiw.

I congratulate you guys on stopping LF but lets be realistic here. Henry would have lost yards on those plays Fournette had to run. I have not gone back to look at the replay yet but the OL blocking was the worst I have ever seen in an LSU game when LF got the ball. He was hit behind the line on almost every play.

I want you Bama guys to tell me how many yards Henry would have racked up in those circumstances. Even with the bad stat game LF had he is still leading the NCAA in rushing against all comers with one less game played, is leading Henry by 25% more yards per carry, and has more TD's per game...

Yeah, but the elephant (well, super-big tiger) in the room is whether Fournette would have gotten more yards using Bama's OL against Bama's DL. That is, hypothetically, who had the biggest/worst night? Did LSU OL have a bad night or were they just knocked on their asses? Did Henry's OL overwhelm LSU DL or was LSU's DL just not good enough to stop Henry? Lots of questions, and I know better to try to answer them here because everyone, and I do mean everyone here has very strong opinions and lots of rage about said opinions. Suffice to say, LSU biggest failure wasn't Fournette. It was Harris. He couldn't handle the box closing in on him, and wasn't very accurate when pressured by pursuing defenders. Which was almost always the situation.

LF7 1382> Henry 1254

Deal with it

LF7 7.1 ypc > Henry 5.8 YPC

Deal with it

LF7 172.9 > Henry 139.9

Deal with it

LF7 had 1 bad game against second best Rush defense in the country
Henry just hasn't been as good all season.

Probably because he won't have an 18 yr old trying to block for him and subsequently get pulled, or run behind "pass catching" (lol) TEs.

Yall keep talking about LSU fans saying he was going to "run all over" Bama's defense, but most reasonable fans from both sides on here were saying 120-150 yards. I guess history is written by the victors though.

Regarding Harris, he absolutely choked. Based on all the information that any rational fan had going into the game, a poor performance of that magnitude would have not been expected.

The bottom line is that just like on 1/9, Miles got absolutely pwned by Saban. Go watch Saban's post game presser after the 2014 @ LSU and it basically tells you everything you need to know. I wish I had seen it prior to this past Saturday.

However good our DL is, NFL is better.

How is LF7 going to manage anything against an NFL defense.
by having his Oline open a hole once or twice.

Oline and LF both played bad. LF didnt have anywhere to run all night.

Very few LSU fans on here thought he would be held to under 150.

Harris was actually the one performance I did kind of expect. Even a great DL can lose a great runner on the edge, so I figured Fournette would get decent if not great yardage because he's pretty damned hard to tackle once he hits speed. I figured he'd find it impossible to run between the tackles -- Bama's DL had proven to be damned good -- but I would have thought he'd take a few laterals and the like. But I figured Harris, as a first year starter (yes, I know he started last year, and choked badly because he was thrown to the wolves...not his fault) with LSU's schedule so far wouldn't have experienced anything close to that line and the amount of pressure. I think the team that could have provided the best experience, ironically, is the one he has to go against this week to redeem himself from that fiasco. If he doesn't use the pass effectively to open up the run, he could be in for a long Saturday.

I don't think we stacked the box all night, fwiw. We stopped him with our front 7.

I saw 8 in the box quite often.. but you guys had 5 hands in the dirt all night long. It was a complete mismatch.. our OL left that night with grass stains covering their backs and asses.

What I find absurd is that other running backs that have already played BAMA this season did A LOT better than LF7 but BAMA sucked then but now they are the most stout front 7 in the history of college football

Maybe, I think I said about 150 (maybe 180 more generously) and that 120 was conservative if Fournette got the rock 30ish times (Incorporating Bama fans btw in the range). I was wrong. With what he did against UF, it's not like that was sheer lunacy. Bama was extremely talented, and having a week of preparation, played their absolute best game possible and it was impressive. I've mentioned PFF like a nerd 3 times today, but go look up the article they wrote on it (not just the one on player grades).
