False.

You upset now? I didn't peg you for a laffy fan knowing you decently.

Since there is no halftime in baseball, the fans don't really know when to leave.

You still believing everything you hear? Tiger Stadium was being call Death Valley before Clemson's stadium was even built.

Oooof. You might want to give that a Google. Clemson has first claim to it. Back then they would call it "deaf" valley and over the years the media mixed it up.

You first, apparently...

Clemson didn't start using the moniker until the 1950's. That was in reference to an opposing coach's quote in 1948. Meanwhile, Tiger Stadium, was built near a gas station named "Deaf Valley" in 1924. LSU admits they don't know when "Deaf Valley" became "Death Valley".

But most old-timers agree it was before the 1950's...

The first team to have their stadium called Death Valley, that was a team in the NE around 1910.

Hard to dispute that but some sec stadiums are louder depending on the game.

Baseball I doubt it.

I guess the Tide fans are really bored right now, what with not having a team playing anywhere...

Alex Box Stadium, named after LSU student-athlete Alex Box, killed in WWII...

The gas station was build long after LSU was moved to the south campus. It got the name deaf valley because of the stadium being called Death Valley.

Just like Death Valley Cal, had a gas station called deaf valley in the 30's, back in those days the play on words was a common thing to do.

A northeastern school had Death Valley long before LSU and Clemson.

Been to Box and Tiger Stadium.

Been to Rupp.

I can assure you, when Rupp is at full tilt it is a top site in the USA.
