I think Deboer should have notation that he won a playoff game, not just calling it a Sugar bowl. A NY6 bowl in the playoffs is a bigger deal than the same bowl outside of the playoff.

Didn't realize Kirby is now the only SEC coach to win a nattie.

If I'm not mistaken, the only active college coaches with a national title are Kirby Smart, Dabo Swinney and Mack Brown.

They see the bright side of a coach with a ton of experience and overall wins. The rest of us see a coach with every opportunity to win meaningful games over a long career at ND who literally always embarrassed himself when put in the games a brand like ND affords you.

Saban lost to UAB and got blown out in the Cotton Bowl before he won his first national title.

LSU fans don't care what the rest of you see. 90% of you are smooth-brained dumbshits who need ESPN and the media to tell you what to think.

Saban was not coaching that long as Kelly has right now. Kelly still couldn't get his team to a NYE bowl game win. That is shocking! Drinkwitz has already accomplished that with lesser talents. Who would have thought of that would've happened before Kelly even at Notre Dame and currently at LSU.

don't get the comparison with cost per wins. Are we pretending the 2 programs were on equal terms when they were hired? Florida has fired it's past 3 coaches in about the past 10 years. LSU was coming off a NC just a few years prior and your coach did everything he could to help LSU on his way out to retirement.

All I did was post my opinion that Napier was a better coach than he is given credit for.

You either trolled yourself, or you are one of those cry babies who claims everyone is a troll because they have opinions you don't like.

You are citing overall numbers and LSU is #8 and Florida is #14 despite the fact Florida has 9 more players than LSU.

Because your average recruit was more than a full point higher.

That's basically the difference between Alabama and Georgia that season.

Again, you seemed desperate to convince us that Kelly had a much better situation, where is the massive difference?

I agree with this. I'm hoping the rough schedule gets him fired so that Drink can hire him as an analyst. He'd be a useful guy to have on staff.

first Josh pate, now you?

How many people is Billy paying off to create fake hype for him this off-season?

Georgia had 30 recruits and 9 of them were 3 stars.

Florida had more recruits than LSU, not less. So Imagine if Georgia was 6 spots lower than Alabama with all those extra recruits, due to a much lower average.

Not sure what Josh Pate said, so can't comment on that.

I'm just calling it like I see it. The odds are definitely stacked against him, so in 7 months you can all come laugh at me. But if he does better than expected, I won't be surprised.

Let me see if I can try this again.

In the 2022 season, LSU and Florida's average player was separated by a little more than a point.

Same with Alabama and Georgia.

For the third time, where is this massive difference?

A SEC Championship so far.

The stats you are quoting aren't useful. They are based on the recruiting ranks at the time they were recruited/transfered, and say nothing about how many years a player has been at the school, developed or otherwise.

I don't know how you got the 2022 data, because everytime I click on the team it takes the results to the 2023 roster. However, in 2023, LSU was once again only 1 point higher than Florida and LSU had 6 5 stars compared to Florida's 1. And Florida had like over 50 freshman listed on their roster(which I assume is a combination of true and red shirt).

And while looking at 24/7 since I normally don't anymore, I just noticed that overall(with transfers) Florida recruited higher than LSU last year, despite having 3 less recruits.

You were the one who originally brought up recruiting rankings.

You literally used recruiting rankings to try to make the argument that Florida and LSU were vastly different situations, now you're saying those aren't "useful."

Incredible.
