The B12 needs to expand out of Texas. It must be terrible to know you play "Texas XX" each week.

My fellow fellow fans of SEC schools, I ask you: do we really want more Sooners on this board? Do we really want these people in the SEC?
It is starting to become sad. The we should be in because we are pretty good at football argument sounds more and more Boise State like.
Add in that their big rivalry game, the biggest one for their conference, now airs on a second tier sports channel and you have to wonder if this is how Army fans felt in the late 40's and early 50's as the Cadets began their long march into football obscurity only without the national attention the Army/Navy game gets.

Conference networks are a false market. There was never a consumer demand. Have you ever taken an economics class?
Holy shite, I see you decided to double down on this bullshite instead of admitting you were talking out of your arse. The SEC network has been an objective success, and for roughly a quarter of the country it's what they pay for the whole bundle for. That's the entire concept dipshit.
The hilarious part is that your argument is self defeating and completely confirms that the Big 12 is circling the drain. Your contention that a small market devoted network can't compete in a standalone market is multiplied by a hundred when the network is geared towards a single school, like the Big 12 did when they left third tier media rights in the hands of the individual members. It was a terrible business decision, and one solely done because Texas swung their dick at you and you hit your knees.
Meanwhile, the SEC network has enough content spread over 14 teams to always have people watching, it found a comfortable middle ground and is generating the value it is BECAUSE there is demand. ESPN has noticed their national programming is trending down, while targeted market streaming is growing like crazy. The trick is finding the right sized market, not too small or too large, and individual conferences each covering a quarter or so of the country are proving to be the perfect size. The revenue doesn't lie, and the SEC is on pace to double your total within a couple years.
Your conference bet on the wrong horse, because one of its memebers strongarms every other member into putting it first, and is now paying the price. Period.

SWC 2.0 (or 0.2 depending on your perspective)

Take Arkansas and Mizzou so we can have an extra SEC or good out of conference game

If Texas would play right and share the wealth, I am sure Mizzou and Arky wouldn't care if they moved back. A&M has always been an SEC team. They are staying.

This board may be a collection of some of the most delusional uneducated people I have come across online or anywhere. You simpletons really think your network and espn would survive if it was not part of cable packages?

Colorado is not returning to the Big 8/Big XII.
Colorado unlike the other 3 who left was trying to leave for years. Colorado to the PAC 10 rumors started in the 1980's. This has nothing to do with Texas. The hate for Texas is pure jealousy.

Jealous of Texas? That is funny. I am sure we are all jealous of Jealous of a team that hasn't been relevant in football since the early 2000's. I am sure we are jealous of a team that most on here want to see go bankrupt.

I am speaking about the former Big 8/ Big 12 schools. There were 4 to leave.
CU's decision to leave the conference was a long time coming. It wasn't for any other reason except that was where CU belonged. None of the other schools would have left if CU stayed. Out of the moves Nebraska's move is the one the may be reversed

It must suck to feel the need to argue with people online about a conference network that my school had no affiliation with.
