the return of the most prominent college football program in history increased interest and relevance, increased media coverage, parity restored to the game.

here's hoping Notre Dame can stand up, and become the saviors of a dying sport.

Here's hoping that you can live vicariously through another team. ESPN might tell you that perhaps your idea of a dying sport would only get airplay in Stark Vegas.

Carry on young lad.

Bad news, Hillbilly. There is a new "most prominent college football program in history". It's the one in Crimson who clears the bench against you every year.

Call me when a Manning comes back to save you from complete obscurity. And hurry up and stop sucking - we're tired of LSU fans actually teasing us about playing you and watering down our SEC East schedule.

Where have you been? There is more money, parity, and interest in college football than has ever been. Just because your team hasnt been to a bowl game in a decade doesnt mean other people have lost interest just the opposite! Quit begging for a bone.

And this is one of the reasons it sucks to be in Mississippi.

A lot of State fans are like this idiot.
Southern Miss is horrible now.
And Ole Miss fans bragged about how awesome their tailgating was when curb stomped by Texas...

Top 4 games- 2012 season in TV ratings:

1- Alabama Georgia
2- Notre Dame USC
3 Alabama LSU
4 Alabama Texas A&M

Yep. Looks like there's zero interest in Alabama

More consecutive finishes in the top 5 than you've ever had?

We're involved in rivalries that actually matter and have wide spread national appeal.

State has done...? Beat Ole Miss occaissionally?

A team with integrity? Say what? Two accused sex offenders who local authorities refused to investigate. One of the victims committed suicide after she received numerous texts from other team members harassing her about reporting the incident.

Weak. Tennessee should change it's fight song to "Brother Can You Spare a Dime", possibly make an investment in box wine and over all get a clue. Most SEC teams are making money hand over fist. To top it off, most teams are having their best seasons in years. Except poor old Tennessee. Keep dreaming Vol, keep dreaming...

Umm... what? College football is more popular than ever. Sure the rest of the country is tired of hearing "SEC! SEC! SEC!". So what? They're still watching.

The ND/Alabama NC is definitely good for college football and will likely be the most-watched of all time. But I don't see why an ND victory is "good" for college football.

Roll Tide. BTHO Notre Dame.
