Y'all think Bama reds are bad? Wait till my VOLS are running things and they come down from the mountains.

The novelty is cool though and I'm sure the tailgating scene will be tough to beat.

This, know a few people that are going and they realize the view isn't going to be great.

This. It's a one time deal I'd think most fans would want to take part in!

You got that right!
I was around in Tennessee's heyday and know what they look like. These tittie-babies around here couldn't take what the inbred Tennessee hordes would bring down from those mountains.

dam, reminds me of the Houston UCLA basketball game that was the first to be played in a dome. Floor out there with just regular seating. 55 K showed up and brought binoculars.

Reminds me of UK and Michigan State playing in the "Basketbowl" in 2003 at Ford Field. A lot of people I knew that went said the view was shite but it was, at the time, one of those one of a kind type things. Of course a few years later the NCAA started putting the Final Four/NC in the same setup. I think the game still holds the collegiate (basketball) record for verified single game attendance with 78,129.

It's nothing but a big "money-grab" neutral site game, WITHOUT ANY of the so called big NFL stadium amenities and a view from about 1/4 mile BACK ! Add the fact it will be hot as blazes....why not pay 3-4 x MORE than a good SEC home game ???

Who gives a shite? It sold out

It always sucks arse when UT fields a decent team. They will play rocky top even more than usual. Makes my ears want to bleed uncontrollably.

Will definitely watch. Kind of a cool novelty since I'm a CFB fan and a NASCAR fan.

Honestly didn't think they'd sell the thing out when it was announced, though.

Both schools routinely sell out their stadiums, it wasn't gonna be that hard to sell 150K tickets to a game that's merely 90 minutes away from either school.

I know myself and a few other resident Vols will be going HAM when it happens.

If you are sitting at the tippity top of BMS in one of the turns, you will be about 950 feet from the center of the field.

Which means that when the ball is on the opposite end of the field from where you are the distance between you and the play will be greater than the length of this building:

Will the video board be high enough? It looks too low for a football game, but its hard to tell from a pic.

I'm not sure. I assume that was just an artist rendition.

They had bigger ones in Jerryworld back in 2014.
79,238 - final
79,444 - semifinals
