They put the scrubs in with 3 minutes left and mcneese kept fouling and missing. No big deal

Excited to see A&M in action

There will be some extra sizzle to that match up. Looks like a really solid field too, should tell us a lot about where the Aggies are.

LSU was beating them 70-38 at one point. SE-Louisiana is a sad excuse of a basketball team lol. Pump the breaks

If you're an LSU fan telling A&M to pump the breaks, that would be the good ol pot calling the kettle black. People are expecting final four runs for LSU after beating Kennesaw State. Don't get me wrong, I think Simmons is the best player in CBB, but so was Kevin Durant, and he lost in the second round.

This.

We'll all have a good idea of what our teams have come around January. And I'll even go out on a limb and say it'll be until at least then before we know if Simmons truly is the best player in the country. He's a very good freshman but even outside of other freshman playing, you have some very good veteran players at other programs too.

Even then I'm not sure we'll know how good LSU will be because they have a pretty weak non-conference SOS. Again, I think LSU will be a really good team this year, but it's just way too early in the season to know who is going to be good come March.

Y'all were up 70-38 and you only ended up winning by 11? Weird.

Yes. They were up about 34 with about 12 minutes left and decided to take the rest of the night off.

LOL. Congrats. Print the tee shirts.

Is it March already?

You can tell that some of these people haven't watched a ton of basketball, but now that their teams are good they've started. I don't mean they shouldn't be excited by their current squads, but man it's early in the season.

I used to be a head high school basketball coach. I realize that the young guys might hit a wall, and that our competition has been weak, but I am simply telling you that this A&M team has looked very, very good. Great shooters, great team chemistry, good defense, excellent rebounding, incredible depth, and very good intensity. The only weakness has been that we've turned the ball over way too much.

What's nice is that he isn't going to have to take 12 shots a game with half of them being "bad shots" or highly contested shots. I fully expect his FG% & 3P% to be higher this year.

I trust your basketball knowledge in general, it's just that there are people who start either saying teams are great after beating dog crap teams, or teams suck, and will never recover after losing early games to no name opponents. It's the 1st week of the season. I think A&M could be really good this year. There are some solid freshmen in Hogg, Gilder, and Davis that I'm pumped to watch, and then House and Caruso (who has been at A&M since 2007) give them experience in the backcourt which is huge IMO, especially in close games. But it's easy to look great (especially with rebounding and defense) against a team with 1 forward taller than 6'7" on the team (who only played 8 min), and another team who's tallest player in their starting lineup is 6'6"
