The A&M basketball team is really good. (100-58 final against SE La)

Up 50-30 at half over Southeastern Louisiana. Beat USC upstate (a team that beat MSU last year) like 100-60 in the opener. The freshmen were all hits. Between the young guys and the senior leaders, this team is legit. It's going to be a fun winter/spring. Easily the best team I've seen at A&M since at least the Sweet 16 team.
The average score of their first three games (counting the exhibition) is 96-56.

all of this without jalen jones as well. dont want to get too crazy because the USC upstate team isnt as good as it was last year and SE louisiana might be one of the 10 worst teams in division 1 but this a&m team just looks fricking good

I mean I feel pretty good about what I see the Gamecocks doing to Oral Roberts right now, but still.
I do believe the SEC is going to be a pretty damn good basketball conference this year though.

I have high standards for basketball play, and this is the first Aggie team in eons that has come close to showing the potential to get in the same zip code as those standards.
In short they're pretty good, and play an exciting brand of basketball to boot.

I agree with that. I'm not merely judging from this game. I'm judging from the exhibition game, the USC upstate game, and this game. We just look really, really good. If we're not top 3 in the SEC, it'll be a failure of a season.

I'm sure A&M will be plenty good this year... but SC Upstate just lost to Presbyterian College tonight. In case you're wondering, that's a small private liberate arts college in SC with an enrollment of less than 1,200 undergrads.

When was this game played? I can't find it on last year's schedule, or as one of this year's exhibition schedules. I see that y'all beat Southwest Baptist by 26 and then McNeese by 11.

We are playing in a tournament in the Bahamas that features nothing but very good teams. It's in about a week. We open against the Longhorns. That will be telling. We also have games against Arizona State, Kansas State, Baylor, and Iowa State.
