It's not rocket science or neurosurgery...

-------------------------

African American women have the highest rates of obesity or being overweight compared to other groups in the United States. About 4 out of 5 African American women are overweight or obese.
In 2018, non-Hispanic blacks were 1.3 times more likely to be obese as compared to non-Hispanic whites.
In 2018, African American women were 50 percent more likely to be obese than non-Hispanic white women.
From 2015-2018, non-Hispanic black females were 2.3 times more likely to be overweight as compared to non-Hispanic white females.

I was at a waterpark in Georgia a few weeks ago and at least 70% of the white people I saw were extremely fat. Was probably 90% for black men and about 99% for black women.

Everybody is failing, some worse than others.

The general disease and filth of New Orleans helps keep the obesity rate suppressed with regular bouts of disease. Not unlike NO's fellow third world cities where basic sanitation services like sewage and waste management are similarly stuck decades or centuries in the past.

Who did this list, what scientific oriented organization and what metric did they employ?

Something is odd about the list. At first glance it would appear to-be directly related to concentration of black females but, then, the glaring exceptions start to show.

The South and select parts of the mid to southwest simply know how to cook with flavor and enjoy the simple things in life.

Diabetes is the Greek Goddess of soul food.

Just got back from the gym over my lunch hour.

Drinking some nice clean safe refreshing water now. Right outta the tap.

Did Shreveport and Houston get slimmer or did everyone else get fatter? Because those were the top 2 for a good while there. Different publications seem to have differing results anyway

Oklahoma isn't a Southern state. Same goes for Texas (much less the RGV).

The obesity problem is absolutely out of control in this country. Look at pictures of people out at the beach, those 4K upscaled videos of people walking around from years ago, etc from the 1970s and before, and you will see that almost everyone is relatively trim. To be sure, I am not built like a Greek god, but if you walk around now, like 40-50% of the people walking around are as big as like 4-5% fifty years ago.

Jealous of you only getting an hour off for lunch and drinking tap water? No.

Can't just blame blacks for obesity rates. White people are fat AF too. Not just limited to the South either.
