A tim brando interview on finebaum is about the worst tv I can imagine other than Les Miles wasting time

No clue how the LSU homer thing started
Maybe because he constantly picks them and sings their praises while shitting all over the other SECW teams. It's not a big deal. It is what it is
This x 1000!
He has always seemed like an LSU Homer to almost everyone that's not an lsu fan.
He is a big headed dufus that believes he knows it all, very egotistical, and condescending towards anyone who doesn't agree with his opinion. I was very glad when he got sent packing out west and no longer involved with SEC coverage.
With all that said, he loves him some LSU and Ole Miss.

This thread is so funny to me because Bama fans have been through a similar situation and can easily recognize it. How many coaches between Bear and Stallings, who got ran off by meddling alumns despite averaging 10 wins/year on the field and a NC, and then more meddling until Mal Moore had enough and told everybody we're getting Saban and everybody else will back the f off! Problem solved. LSU fans flat out reject the advice from Brando and Bama fans. Now, we get to watch them go through coach after coach until they learn it for themselves. Les Miles was their Gene Stallings now they will hire guys like Dubose, Franchione, Mike Price, and Shula to bow down to the alumn. So much for learning from history.

so wrong on many levels here. les miles always had an undisciplined team.
yall can't make fun of him, then turn around and say he is the best we can do. that's being a hypocrite. we didn't want him anymore. end of story. he has made lots of mistakes since his first home game in TS

I didn't say he was the best LSU can do. Neither did Brando. He said no top coach would want to go to LSU because of the meddling alumn. We are saying LSU could get a great coach if they could keep their alumn in check. LSU clearly didn't do this. They meddle and Miles had to make coaching changes in order to keep his job. This is not how Championship programs are made. It isn't a democracy. The head coach is in charge of football, meaning his coaching and staff. Until the rich LSU alumn back off and stop interfering with their coach, LSU will be doomed to mediocrity. I for one am stoked about it.

Miles was doomed for mediocrity because he is stubborn as a mule.

BR has been a very happy, energetic place today.
Just wait 'til HC Choice #5 rolls into town with his $5M per year salary and a playbook with a heavy emphasis on left off tackle dive plays.
It'll be Les Lite without the personality and fun.

so you mean not a quirky barely functioning retard.
lost in the game on sat was the 30 seconds he let slip away before calling timeout with around a minute left to play. he didn't know what they wanted to do, yet just let time tick off the clock like always. then used the timeout and they came out unprepared again.

While Brando has a huge ego & was a bit bombastic and I am no fan, does any LSU fan really feel that La. politics does not have a major influence on the LSU football program? As a long time LSU fan going back to 1961, I have no argument about anything he said about LSU's lack of leadership. I do feel he went a bit over the edge in declaring any HC would be a fool to come here, however. When Mark Emmerette, one of LSU's most politically strongest presidents, left LSU, because of a new governor taking over, Saban left LSU in a heartbeat. Not that that was his main reason...think $$$$...but he knew he had lost his shield.

What a load of shite.
Keep it 100.
LSU is one of the LEAST programs to have a meddling alumn. Les Miles was able to coach here for 11+ years with an Offense from the 1940's.
Anyone who believes different is a fricking moron.
Les Miles had EVERY opportunity to save his job and wasted them all.
The man has made over $50 Million from LSU.
For anyone to think LSU did him wrong, meddled in his shite is 100% false.
The ONLY meddling was MILES IN THE OFFENSE.
Case fricking closed.
