Longhorn conspiracy. They see the writing on the wall. Sumlin gets canned, Aggy hires Tom Herman and becomes an unstoppable juggernaut. They're trying to mitigate it by hurting recruiting and hopefully steer Herman away from this fine institution by sullying its good name.

I liked your first explanation better.

Well it's two fold: SEC combined with players not being paid, Ed obannon, college football business in this particularly story.

That makes a lot more sense.

It's okay, college football. Aggy will be the frick up and the national media spectacle for the rest of you. It's what we're good at. We got this.

I just don't recall this level of media attention for all the dumb shite things Fran did. Maybe it is the big league association that is causing it.

Or maybe it's that big fat friggin aggie mouth that's been flapping its trap since 2011.

You built yourself up as some sort of football god, and fooled a lot of writers in the process. Now they are turning on you for embarrassing them.

What is with this National Media Hate-fricking of irrelevant Aggy?

Read the article. It uses Moorehead's meltdown as a veiled excuse to advocate players being paid. The article has an agenda, but its not "frick A&M". That said, I trust an article from Bleacher Report more than I do Rolling Stone. Rolling Stone is shite when it comes to journalistic integrity.

So Rolling Stone wasn't content to just be sued by the University of Virginia for slander...

I didn't see anything libelous there. It wasn't nice, granted, but the standards for libel are higher than "You suck, grow up."

Probably because Aggy has yet to create a "safe space" for heterosexual males

The Aggie hate exist because your own highly paid staff couldn't control their emotions on Twitter.

This is nobody's fault but their own.

That's part of it. The other part is that you're still under the JFF effect.

You joined the SEC and in your first year, your newly hired minority head coach and an undersized magician QB won 11 games, a Heisman trophy, slew the giant in Tuscaloosa, and finished it off with an evisceration of your former conference's co-champion in a major bowl.

It may have been the worst thing that could have ever happened to you because you became the media darling, the next big thing so you went under a microscope and the only thing the media likes better than a Cinderella story is to watch the mighty fall.

Welcome to the big leagues.

This is obviously latent homophobia at that notorious right-wing press organ, Rolling Stone, rearing its ugly head...

Oh, frick you.

NOBODY does more trap flapping the you burnt-orange nutless bovines. You still think you are some sort of football gods? You're not.

But, highly public figures type stupid shite on twitter all the time.
And they get ripped and shamed for it.

You guys also produced the media's favorite dumpster fire in Johnny Manziel.

That combined with Sumlin's drinking becoming a media issue. . .

Drunk coach, publicly imploding top draft pick, now this?

It is just the perfect shitstorm

Dude. You're smarter than that. A point-and-laugh theme only goes so far, and in limited distribution. This is Aggy hate from all angles. There's got to be more to this media campaign.

a) The media has been given a never ending supply of
material to work with.

b) Texas boosters don't have any recruits to pay off, so
the media is the benefactor now

c) Internet effect/you just never noticed.. the hate
has been going strong for 100+ years

d) pure spite & jealousy due to your overall dominance &
excellence
