There were other schools nation wide who sent stuff as well, on behalf of LSU fans worldwide, thank you.
Mike doesn't have to be in pain anymore, he meant a lot to many people around Tiger Nation and touched them in ways that he can't conceive. Rest up buddy, and watch over your Tigers!

I always assumed sending flowers when someone/something died was to show sympathy for those who loved the person/thing that died.

Y'all are right but I suspect the confusion was caused by the subject line which says 'gift baskets for Mike' which isn't at all like sympathy flowers sent after Mike is dead.

Gift basket means it's something the recipient would use and enjoy. It doesn't really matter though I suppose.
