We need a solid replacement for when Nick Saban retires,

Good thinking, however there will NEVER be a suitable replacement for the GOAT.

I wasn't inferring Dabo was a bad coach, just posted the pic because I think he'll be UA's next coach after Saban. You sure are sensitive and quick to anger trolling.

This is reminiscent of when UF hired HCIW DC from UT. A young firey stud DC who's a hot name and coached under saban and is 39 years old. Wow.

I'm a Bama fan, of course I'm sensitive. The fact that I don't kill trees or wear crimson wife beaters at Walmart makes me special. :)

And I agree - I think Dabo is a real possibility and a good fit...and he has experience as the head guy at a major program

the #1 coaching job in america

Alabama maybe the #1 program in America , Alabana may have the #1 coach in America, but it is Not the #1 job in America.

UF is better
UTx is better
USC is better
ND is better
tOSU is better

the state of Alabsma is mediocre for in state talent, the fan base is filled with bandwagon lunatics, and Tuscaloosa is meh imo.

I don't know when Saban will retire or leave, he has been a savior for the Gumps, I doubt the next coach can continue his level. And for those who say , yeah because we never win in the past, that does not matter. The landscape of college football is completely different than when Bear was there, it's not even close to the same. Saban would have turned any traditional power into a beast, he's a generational coach, and I don't see any one out there like him comming down the pipe.

I'll give you UF

UTx...could be but too much power-brokering behind the scenes. If it were, you think Charlie Strong was the hire last time? Potential but not right now.

USC...maybe but private school. The weather and population so maybe.

ND...other than national brand, what makes ND better? Higher admission hurdles. Horrible weather. Facilities lack (yes, I've been there.)

tOSU...maybe but the fan base is as crazy as Bama's. Really no advantage and the weather and state are negatives.

I'd put UGA ahead of or at least on the same level as a couple of these.

So thanks for getting our guy some experience before we need to call him back.

Somehow I knew our fanbase would be saying this. If Smart does well at UGA, why would he leave? If he doesn't do well, why would we want him?

And all of you who want Dabo are insane.
