There was a lot of debate about this with he was hired but just look at how well Petrino did against Bama. LSU would be much tougher if they found the right QB. The spread and a great QB is how you are going to beat bama but even then you need some luck.

Berts destroyed LSU at their own game and has come pretty close to beating bama (missed a pat and had a player fumble a touchdown out of bounds against them in 2014 in a 14-13 game). so Im not sure what you're talking about.

He has. I mean more with recruiting the same kind of players. There's only so many of those guys to go around. I hated that Chizik tried to go back to the pro-style because I think Auburn needs to offer something different than Alabama to have success.

Yea, I will be interested to see what their ceiling is. I feel like it is 8-4/9-3, but I could be wrong.

Well, I already explained that. I wasn't talking about in-game strategy, but recruiting the same players.

Doesn't LSU run a pro-style offense?

Several other teams beat Malzahn this year too. How did that Heisman Campaign work out for Jeremy Johnson? Is he going to start this year?

You're not helping your case...

1-2 vs Malzahn (and took 4 OT to finally win one)

Congrats!

Using this against you:

Gus is 1-2 vs Saban- one win being on a improbable finish.
