I know they didn't win a NC but I wonder what Boise State's average recruiting rank looked like when they had that great run.

Or one could just look at Michigan State's recruiting rankings these past 4 years or so.

Or Nebraska's back when they owned the sport in the 90s.

Probably not good, but they weren't playing an SEC schedule (except when the beat UGA).

It seems like Bama fans are the only ones able to admit that he is a good coach. Besides a few exceptions
This place gets threatened easily. I thought it was extremely impressive from the beginning to steal away a successful coach from another major program. Everyone else was impressed too, that's why they shite all over it. They were scared.

How many titles has Michigan State won?

As tough as it gets.
Arkansas has done great with the talent they are bringing in, and have gotten some very good players. As long as you recruit to fit your scheme, that's all that matters. I'm just pointing out that the teams who have won the NC the past decade or so have all regularly recruited in the top-10.

Please. If we had polled the rant the day before he was hired, most everyone would've said Bielema was a good coach worthy of having.

But Arkansas hires him and everyone, especially their SECW rivals, acts like it's a big joke.

The only team to win a National Championship since the BCS started in 1998 without a Top-10 class was Oklahoma in 2000.

That's it.

Ya, I think the only reason we actually got him was because of two things. He wanted to prove he could win in the SEC and he seemed to really respect Jeff Long after the Petrino deal. Even wrote Long a letter.

Much of that stems from his personality and his mouth rather than his coaching ability. And I question the decision to try and go head to head with Alabama and LSU with schemes.

You are not wrong, I think it is unrealistic to think you are going to see a team win the NC without having a very strong recruiting class most years.

I did too, but I have to say he has been better than I expected with it.

Has whipped LSU the last 2 years and had us on the ropes in 2014 and gave us 3 qtrs of hell last year.

No way an Ole Miss just valued overall season performance over one game. Did that really just happen?

Sure. I would have happily traded a loss to Bama for a national championship, but that's not what we got so I'ma be happy with a win over Bama and the Sugar Bowl.

He has shown he is versatile and can adapt. Arkansas was one of the best passing teams in the league this year, a far cry from what he was doing at Wisconsin running it 50 times a game.

He has. I mean more with recruiting the same kind of players. There's only so many of those guys to go around. I hated that Chizik tried to go back to the pro-style because I think Auburn needs to offer something different than Alabama to have success.
