Idk what to tell you if you think LSU can't pay 6M. It's that LSU didn't want to pay Herman 6M because they don't think he is worth it.

LSU did not have a problem with paying Jimbo $6.5M. as they were prepared to pay $7M last year. We objected to giving him a 10 year contract. Sean Payton with the Saints has the longest contract in pro football and that is only 8 years.

The #1 issue should be why they did not consider other candidates if others were considered to not be worth a certain dollar amount.

6 mil plus who knows how much in buyout terms. That's the kicker right now. The buyout terms. Getting out of hand. So much money for not earning the ridiculously high salary. Needs to be controlled.

Ole Miss is a joke of a program and LSU just hired the worst coach in their history.
There's no good reason I can see to think LSU can outperform Ole Miss for the next five years, and perhaps longer.
