That incredible revenue LSU. Congrats!

Did y’all achieve a high profit margin from that, or are there still issues with the bottom line like y’all had previously?

We’d probably be tied if we decided to rob children’s hospitals too.

I'm not surprised that you do suck yourself. You should go out for gymnastics.

Imagine being a member (non founding but floundering around from conference to conference) of the best sports conference in the world only able to brag about finances and yet…

LSU even beats you in that.

Adorable!

I'm old enough to remember Aggy fans swearing Scott Woodward would never leave his piggy bank in College Station for LSU...

Then he watched LSU win another national championship in less than a year on the job

At least he wasn't the last AD to tell Aggy to frick off

Tom Petty effect.

Can't buy a fricking decent coach, or even a win, but Petty put us on the financial map.

This doesn't jive at all with the USA Today report from 1-17-24, which said that Texas had Athletic Revenue of $271M, the most of any NCAA school. That number was validated by the Athletic Director. Not sure how the same publication downgraded them with no explanation.

Meh....as long as we win I don't care. The more important stat is how dominate the SEC is. No amount of reaching for members by the B1G will change that.

Texas is right now #1 in college sports Director's Cup and predicted to win again this year

Next question?

Come on man. Football is the only sport that really matters. I love college baseball but football is king.
They have a point. we have seriously underperformed vs our income. That's what hiring terrible football coaches will do to you. Thank God for CDC. That guy knows how to run an athletic department. Gone is the arrogant leadership of Deloss Dodds. He cursed us with that idiotic "we are the jones" bullshite.

You are right ... But it's still justified to criticize our football program for the shite it's been before sark arrived.
You're right though, things are changing finally.

Well, each of their current stadiums holds about 60k people. So it's not crazy to speculate they would have a 100k+ person stadium if they combined forces. It's obviously not as simple as X+Y=Z, but at the very least it's clear the potential is there for Mississippi to be a football powerhouse. You're trying real hard to combat a simple/fun observation.

Can't argue about getting the right guy, it's everything in sports. The biggest favor Sarkisian did for himself is going to finishing school with Coach Saban. Well, that and getting off the sauce. He got fired in Atlanta as OC and went back to the drawing board at ALABAMA. 2 years later, and an NC, he put in plenty of motion, he stayed balanced with power formations for cleaning up in the red zone. The offensive style also protects the defense.
