They are 37-76-5 against UT. It's the definition of little brother. Of course they want to try and forget that school in Austin that made a living bending Aggie over.

Your still not understand what is going on in CFB.

It is turning into not a battle between conferences it is turning into FOX vs ESPN.

Texas and Oklahoma are sitting outside of this FOX vs ESPN battle. More importantly they are the two biggest products outside of this model.

Why would they get 2/3? Aggie is the more relevant and national brand that brings the larger viewership and most money to the table

In my best attempt to be objective..

Self preservation rules the day. I never blamed TAMU for moving to the SEC. The move offered stability, financial gain, freedom and hope with no risk. Pretty simple decision.

I did take issue with the anti UT banter “they forced us into this” with the LHN, revenue share etc.. History shows that to be a ruse.

Overall a very smart business decision and some misplaced barbs towards Texas on the way out... underdtandable just like most every divorce on record.

What bothers the UT crowd is that after a century of being saddled with supporting TAMU and having to make decisions with their best interest in mind, TAMU has the freedom to leave the nest with no regard to the parent university.

One really needs to understand the historical beginnings of the two schools to appreciate where each party is coming from, but the dynamics are real and provide great entertainment.

Texas is a unique place and story.. the Texas/TAMU fued is but a chapter of the book.

You call it a safe space, thankfully, our decision makers called it a 100-year decision.

Look, it's a silly argument. If A&M is happy with their decision, it's a good decision. Seems to make financial sense, certainly.

But the idea that the SEC is a safe space isn't completely nonsensical. Clearly, you just have to look at this board to see how A&M uses the brand -- "the toughest division in football" to cover the fact that it's had one great, and very unique season, since joining. A&M posters, more than any other, seen to draft off the success of Alabama.

So yeah, being mediocre in a more successful conference division is arguably safer than being mediocre in a conference with some built in structural (and numerical) disadvantages.

Sure it is a 100 year decision, but hard to see how things won't be different in 10, let alone 90, years.

To put their little brother status into perspective, A&M has played Texas 37 more times than AU has played Bama, and during that time frame, has only two more wins over UT than AU has over Bama. AU would have to go 2-31 over the next 33 years to rival the lopsidedness.

Do you understand the college FB message board fans do not make decisions.
Very much like Nebraska A&M thinks if they paint a certain picture of Texas then the entire county will hate them.
Problem for A&M and Nebraska is that the masses can be controlled through big media.
All this work you think you have done can be fixed in a week or two.

Thing is I think UT enjoys the position they are in. They make more money than anyone else they are the University that everyone wants in their conference. Not talking about message board fans but the people who make the decisions.

Huh?
Our performance in the SEC has zero bearing on whether or not we’re in football’s toughest division.
We could be undefeated or winless; it’s still the toughest.
Does that bother you?

Then why are your coaches, AD and older alumni vocally stating that they are afraid to play us?

Your students are begging for the game

That is entertaining.
More justifications for getting your heads kicked in.....
But at least we are losing to the toughest teams

Justification?
We have underachieved.
How does that change the fact that the SECw is brutal?

You still do not get it.

Conferences do not make the team the teams makes the conference.
A&M thinks they can slap the SEC brand onto their name and automatically become something.

The reason the SEC has a name is because of TEAMS not the conference.
Half of the TEAMS in the conference in 2017 are trash. Tennessee would lose to pretty much every P5 team this year.

No we don’t.

Who said otherwise?

This thread is officially circular nonsense.

So many other schools worried about what A&M does every waking second.

I guess when we are the oldest and largest university in Texas that comes with the territory.

Flattering TBH
