It can't get worse.
Snyder is widely respected. He had just a ton of true freshmen and sophomores in the squad that started last year.
It shouldn't bleed yardage like it did last year, but it's still nowhere near Wrecking Crew.
I would take serviceable and be content this year.

Snyder is definitely on the hot seat this season. Those two interceptions at the end of the Duke game probably saved his job.
As for the talent, who knows? Most reasonable A&M fans thought our defense was going to suck last year, just not as much as it did.
Most reasonable Aggies think it's going to be much improved, but far from great this season. Hard to be worse though, so we got that going for us. Which is nice.

The talent is still young and the depth isn't where we want it. We should be much better up front with holes at safety and and SLB. We had a thread on our board about it yesterday if you want to read it. LINK

Not sure why it's a "blow" given that he was expected to be the 8th or 9th receiver next year.
