But you will schedule an AWAY game with them

No, the fat pompous piece of shite who:

-Gave Dennis Franchione a contract extension after A&M lost to Baylor for the first time in 20 years and had the worst bowl loss in school history.

-Gave Mike Sherman a seven-year GUARANTEED contract with no buyout clause

-Refused to put A&M games on PPV in a year in which we were only televised 6 times in order to "increase the likelihood of the game selling out" a year after we lost to Arkansas State

-Was never behind the SEC move

-Only gave a damn about non-revenue sports

-Invented a stupid contest (State Farm Lone Star Showdown) to perpetuate the idea that we only care about games played against Texas

scheduled a road game against Louisiana Tech

Umm, I had absolutely no trouble canceling my hotel room at Sam's Town yesterday. What hotel is refusing to cancel reserved rooms?

Options were open to move it to an alternative site any day Thurs-Saturday, the La Tech AD said no. Why the frick should we want to spend MORE money in the state of LA? People already aren't getting their money back from Shreveport hotels. You think anyone is going to show up on Oct 13? I doubt La Tech will sack up and offer ticket refunds
either.

Gee did y'all cancel school today due to so much Butt Hurt?! Get over it! Don't come to the game on the 13th...you would be better served if y'all stay at home & prepare for the epic purple & gold beat down that's coming the next week. I always heard that A&M was UT's B!tch.....& now your the City of Shreveport's?!? Will it ever end? I can hear it now:" Texas A&M "the SECs New B!tch"

We wanted to play at Rutgers, but they didn't want to play a SEC team at home two years in a row.

You know your school sucks when you have to use an in-state opponent to talk shite.

It's almost comical watching La. Tech talk shite to us. That's on par with RICE or BAYLOR talking shite.

No one gave a frick about Tech until they pussied out because they were counting on the game to bankroll their athletic department and hadn't sold enough tickets.

Had no trouble canceling rooms either. Originally had a room at the Mariott Courtyard for Thursday night and then added Friday night in case the game moved to Friday.

Canceled both nights with no issues but we didn't book through one of the travel sites, we booked direct with the hotel.

Alright I'm over it. Hopefully other Ags will get over it too. It sucks, but we just have to deal with the consequences. But there is no point in being negative. Who knows, maybe it's a blessing in disguise. The key is to be positive.

There are things more important than this football game. Hope everyone stays safe.

It's been mentioned by both your AD and the WAC commissioner that the city of Shreveport was involved in the decision. The hotels are refusing to allow people to cancel their rooms since your POS AD waited until after the deadline to postpone the game, and all the rates for the 13th are double what they were. I doubt it is a coincidence that the announcement was made 30 min after the deadline was passed. Considering the game wasn't cancelled for weather, but because your AD and the city of Shreveport is a bunch of greedy cowards, I don't see the reason Ags should be further exploited by them.

You do know the city of Shreveport owns Independence Stadium? Any decision had to have their input. As far as hotel reservation/cancelations contact the company directly not the Shreveport branch for better customer service.

Not sure if some of you aggies understand what goes on in the background of games being played. It’s not La Tech personnel running the game. Cops, security, ambulance service, traffic, parking, concessions, press box, referees and that’s before you get into the manpower and electrical services ESPN would need to broadcast. Now if they made a decision based on possible flooding, loss of power, tornado threats and loss of manpower resources going south to help communities damaged then I think the correct call was made.

It does suck that it couldn't be moved to Fri/Sat due to schedule conflicts but Shreveport was not going to let this game go to Ruston, or Kyle Field - to much money at stake and they probably kicker money into the contract for Tech to begin with. La Tech should be offering refunds though that is complete bush league Ruston crap.

The Ag fans in this thread have shown they have no concept for anything. Lot of misguided hate. It's like watching a child not get his way and throwing a fit.

Dammit! I was really looking forward to watching that game. Now I guess it's just South Carolina-Vandy for me.

What we're pissed off about is that they made virtually no attempt to play the game this week (Sunday forecast calls for NO RAIN) and instead completely fricked over our schedule.

and funny you should bring up the longhorns...as the WAC now has an exclusive deal with the LHN (of course shortly after they did, they announced that the WAC would not sponsor football in 2013, so the LHN broke yet ANOTHER conference).

Would fans be able to get rooms for Saturday/Sunday/Monday (Labor Day) [keep in mind that a lot of the hotels will be booked with idiots gambling for the holiday] considering that the Port City Classic starts at 6pm Saturday? It'd be a quick turnaround to a game on Sunday, and no games can start before noon on a Sunday so you are looking at afternoon/evening.

I'll bet there's no way Texas would have let them just postpone the game.
