I am actually looking for around 7-9 receptions for 90 to 120 receiving yards from him. We will see how it goes. Haven't seen Redmond much at all. Sounds like this is a very good matchup.

As long as he keeps his arse outta the end zone, I'll be good with that.

Arkansas bled the clock and held the ball for 40 minutes, something State won't do.

A&M had the ball eight times in regulation. Two of those possessions were at the end of half when we werent trying to score or intentionally settling for a FG.

Of the six "normal possessions" we had in regulation, we gained at least 65 yards and scored on four of them (two TDs and two FGs) on the two FG drives we got inside the five.

Given that we can reasonably expect to get around 10-11 normal possessions against State, the same rate would result in 6-7 scores. Let's say we score 4 TDs and 2-3 FGs, that's 34-37 points.

My .02$

A&M is a better team c/w 2014 to date. Defense is 2 x as good (103 in country 2014 to 50+ national ranking 2015 to date). Our QB play is better. OL marginal and RB depth has been an issue. MSU is good but not sure up to par with 2014. Home game at Kyle (hopefully finally make a difference since D better.)

We lost 48-31 in Starkville last year. (oops my bad)

I agree with Vegas. Opened Ags -5.5. Current Ags -6.5. O/U 60.

Aggies 33 MSU 27

it appears both defenses have improved. I could be sadly mistaken but I dont see the total score getting about 60.

Low scoring game will be close Ags by 4 if I had to make a prediction (28-24)

If it becomes a shoot out I think the advantage goes in our offenses favor and it will be more like 38-30 Ags.

I dont see this being a large margin of victory either way. All hopes are out the window if Dak changes what hes done all season and goes back to a running QB. He would complete gash our interior defense if they let him run and not stay in the pocket.

So many variables hard to really predict anything with accuracy. Only thing I know is it should be a great game.

watched Brandon Harris drop bombs on State. Kyle Allen will be able to light that secondary up.

How many of those bombs resulted in TD's?

One of the better posts I've read on this board. Well thought- out and clearly defended. Excellent take.

Don't underestimate the value of special teams play in this one. Expect the unexpected. A long return or faked punt could blow things wide open.

Again, enjoyed it.

I expect Taylor Bertolet to fail us.

Again.

Kirk would get better numbers than that against Revis. Not gonna happen. CK gets 5 catches for 90 yards, minimum. Then you still have RSJ, Josh Reynolds, maybe Speedy, and the dreaded and feared Boone Neiderhofer to contend with. Kirk will probably rush for another 30 yards and 2 first downs AND set us up nicely with punt and KO returns, possibly even taking one to the house.

awesome write up, enjoyed reading!

However, I think TAMU v. LSU will be the SEC GOTY this year. Especially if we can get through State, Auburn, and at least split against Bama and Ole Miss.

But back to State v. TAMU. I believe RSJ and Speedy(if healthy) will make the difference. If one of them can take pressure off Kirk and Reynolds and make big plays downfield, all three will end up with big games. From what I saw against Az. St., I am more confident in our pass D than I have been in quite a while. De'Vante Harris has really stepped up this season by not making stupid penalties and actually wrapping up instead of trying to torpedo everyone. He looks really good out there.

Arkansas exploited our interior D in a way that only Bama and LSU seem to be capable of at this point, so I think we get a few more key stops against MSU than we did against the pigs.

It'll be a great matchup nonetheless, and of course I believe my Ags come through in the end. I predict: 29-24 Aggies

Should be almost enough Maroon & White for me.

Any special uniforms planned?

here's absolutely no way the scores are that high.. Is Arkansas' defense THAT much better than MSU's?

It was the Arkansas offense, not the defense, that kept the Aggie offense from lighting up the scoreboard. We only ran about 50 plays, at 9 yards per play.

Kirk is the most talented receiver we've ever had. I dare say he is more dangerous than Mike Evans was. This kid came in and the coaches were really just floored with his route running, separation, speed and work ethic. Coach Spav (oc) said he is some next level talent. I do not think anyone shuts him down, unless you keep our O off the field.

You have absolutely no idea how good Revis is if you believe this.

Dupre was held to 2 catches for 22 yards.
Duke was held to 4 for 49.

I said it was a "bold" prediction for a reason. But I see Manny trying to take away your biggest weapons, and he's normally pretty successful in doing so. And Will Redmond is no slouch.

I'm kind of hoping for a shootout that will force Mullen to let go of the tight grip it seems he's had on the offense this year. I think Malik Dear has the ability to be a game changer if he gets a chance to get significant touches, and I'm ready to see what he can do with the opportunity.

This should be a really good game, I feel that it will come down to turnovers.

I don't like this match up for us. I think our safeties in coverage leave a lot to be desired. I think we give up a ton of yards but hopefully can make them kick mostly FG. Our lack of run game and inexperienced OT worry me as well. I think Msu is a good team (7-5,8-4) but not quite good enough to win at their place. I think the ags will cover and win by 10. I hope I'm wrong but, I'm usually not????
