Hard to argue with Jackie's impressive run of national championships.

Good lord. Your friends must really think you are cool: posting on a SEC board about a coach who owned your arse. Jealous much?

The Aggies have always had some cool traditions, from the band, 12th man midnight yell practice and the bonfire.

Shame the bonfire had to end so tragically.

THIS.

Followed by The Big Event, which is also one the fricking longhorns respect. In fact, the fricking longhorns liked The Big Event so much that they have tried to do the same in Austin. It's not nearly as successful because Aggy is "the epitome of hive mentality," which is another way of saying, we come together and get shite done like the brainwashed, dead-dog-bukkake weirdos we are.

The opening of the War Hymn is cool and instantly gets me horny for college football. There are a lot of other cool Aggie traditions I like and respect

IB4 some Flying Uterus fan jumps in to crow about "obsession" because that line says goodbye to Texas University. (Never mentioning that their song does the same to us.)

Jackie is the perfect example of what it means to be an aggie. He did nothing that matters in the history of college football except get caught cheating, and aggies love him.

Jackie

quote:

COLLEGE STATION, Tex. — Jackie Sherrill, the Texas A&M football coach and athletic director accused of paying hush money to a former player during a National Collegiate Athletic Assn. investigation, resigned Monday night, citing mental strain and his "love and respect" for the school.

quote:

George Smith, a former player, said Sherrill paid him to not talk about the school's recruiting problems, then later recanted his statement.

The Aggies were put on probation in September for unrelated NCAA violations and banned from postseason play.

William Mobley, Texas A&M president, opened an investigation of Smith's allegations which, if proved, could put the school in jeopardy of the NCAA's death penalty for a violation while under probation.

The other reason that RC stopped using the all walk-on team, besides some slipping results, was their participation numbers counted against the Title IX quota, meaning that it made it more difficult for A&M to comply with the gender equity requirements--if we had 20 walk-ons for the kickoff team, those 20 participants would be counted against us in figuring the male:female opportunity ratio. So, as with many cool things that go away, you can blame the legal profession.

One of LSU's that I love is the pregame when they play the slowed down beginning of Hold That Tiger (Correct?)

LSU does a lot cool stuff, actually. I've always enjoyed them.

Correct, same sort of vibe as the war hymn. Ours just doesn't have words
