But damn its hard to contain my excitement. The future is so bright. Not since my old man was taking me to games 20 some years ago have things looked so good.

I gotta wear shades...

Window of opporitunity is the next few years...

The key to beat A&M is to have a passing offense to keep up in a track meet, which no teams in the SEC have at the moment except maybe Georgia and Tennessee but A&M doesn't play them next year

Or you have to force turnovers on offense but A&M got better at that as the year went on

Until SEC teams adjust offensively, this is going to be the norm not the exception

I'm thinking LSU and their 18 returning starters next year will be ready.

Alabama has 9 seniors. 9!!!!!

Y'all will lose some senior leadership. And everyone else will have a seasons worth of tape on Manziel/KK/Sumlin.

Good luck next year...

You have a QB who can do almost anything, a coach who is new and inventive, but you are losing your two top OL. Those tackles are tough and hard to replace.

But you can score points.

If I was an A&M fan, I would be soooooo pisse!!! You guys finally have an awesome team and you would have rolled the Big XII undefeated for sure for a berth in the BCSNCG against ND....instead you joined the SEC and had to play a bunch of good teams, lost 2 games and now you are in the Cotton Bowl!!!

how do people still think this way? we wouldnt be undefeated in the big 12 because we have a horrible secondary and our defense would be torn to pieces by the pass happy offenses. we have a good front 7 which works in the sec because of the run first offenses. wed probably have the same record as we do now if we played in the big 12, maybe one more loss

Temper your excitement. Auburn was 14-0 2 years ago with a great player. Now they are in ruins.

You just finished 5th in the SEC.

I don't think your team was all that great, but Manziel is special.

The two teams that beat A&M can't pass the ball worth shite.

We just shut their offense down.

Agreed. A&M proved is that high powered offenses can compete in the SEC, notwithstanding popular opinion among SEC fans (myself included) before this year. After seeing A&M this year I now think the more difficult thing would be for SEC teams to compete in the Big 12 every year.

A&M beat Alabama, but lost to Florida and LSU. The good defenses can handle it. Every now and then a special offensive player comes along to shake things up. But the big offenses are tamed against the good defenses.
