What is all this "Old Army vs New Army" y'all keep talking about?

Old Army = delusional, full of shite, old arse jarheads who believe everything was better when they were in school. They keep the school stuck in the past regardless of potential harm to the school.

New Army = arrogant, ignorant, disrespectful young fools who trample on tradition every chance they get. They force the school to change regardless of it destroying the unique culture of A&M.

Basically what the OP presented was Old Army vs. New Army.

That being said, let's spare the rant of such a mess.. that shite can be funny on TexAgs but it's like having the neighbors over to watch a family argument/screamfest. Nothing good could come of it.

That being said, 'Uncover' is not a legitimate tradition and anyone who yells it at a game should be promptly punched in the face.

Grandfather '53 and Father '79 both tell me that in their day the only time you had to uncover was when you were "off the wood"

We all know Aggies pride themselves on being friendly and good hosts to visiting fans, etc. This is symbolized by their official greeting: Howdy!

The way they act on the SECr contradicts that bullshite with or without Manziel.

If you actually listen to his press conference you would realize that the media has painted him as this arrogant don't give a shite college kid.

Seriously?

You're talking about a 20 year-old kid you've never met, and mostly "learned about" from media snippets and posts on message boards. Then come here and attack his character?

There is a special category of "loser" you fit like a glove.

Old Army = Determined group of mature former students that attempt to maintain the dignity of the finest university in the world. Learned Aggie Traditions before frat's (rent a friend, join a frat) and a need for fish camp.

New Army = arrogant, ignorant, disrespectful young fools who trample on tradition every chance they get. They attempt to force the school to change long held and beloved traditions. Attend school on daddy's money and the 10% rule.

Corps Block is a mistake perpetuated by Ted Hopgood, Malon Southerland, Ray Bowen, and Wally Groff. It should be no coincidence that it is the same age as the Big 12 Conference.

I can say that I very much felt welcomed on my trip to College Station. Aggies are in fact very nice, I will admit that. Most of their fanbase is very humble and are much better than most fans of Texas teams in that regard. Aggie fans are cool with me as far as I'm concerned.

Aggies have a great fan base, nice traditions, etc. Top 5 in the country.
