Athens is the best city. The bars and laws take away from tailgaiting though

It's telling. Opposing fans pretty much agree that Baton Rouge, Tuscaloosa and Ole Miss have the best tailgate. Not one opposing fan thinks TAMU would be top 5 in even the SEC

I think I'm the only opposing SEC fan that actually thought they had a pretty good setup. Their individual tailgates outside of the frat setups were nowhere near as elaborate as your average LSU or Bama tailgate though.

There is your problem.

Places like LSU and Ole Miss party no matter how good their team is.

Ole Miss parties fricking hard........

That's what I'm saying. We sucked and it was still awesome.

What is telling is that the Germans topic about arbitrary rankings from a magazine that likely switched to sports after a failed attempt at breaking into the homoerotic adult entertainment industry, but kept the name, was able to garner 7-8 pages of rustled jimmies.

"How? Y'all don't even eat the real bbq..."

Stopped reading right here. This is worse than bringing someone's mother into the conversation.

That said, I've also been to Ole Miss and THAT is the most overrated thing ever. That university, town, and state have the most draconian, backwards drinking laws and tailgating rules. Texas is no Louisiana when it comes to drinking laws, but good grief, compared to Oxford we are libertarians! When I go to an Aggie game I park behind Northgate, get a couple bloodies at a bar, go pick up a sixer from the gas station, and walk across campus openly drinking it with my dad or brother. Then we arrive at the tailgate, which has a generator, several TVs, a smoker, a grille, a stereo and a tent with chandeliers. While there, we can cook, watch games and openly drink hard liquor strait from the bottle if we want. At Ole Miss they don't have grilles, smokers, generators, or music in the Grove, and, while there, you have to keep up this really just absurd pantomime of hiding your drink. And then the bars close early. frick that.

This guy knows what's up.

I was there for Bama game this year. It was a blast, truly. But NO WHERE NEAR LSU or 'Bama, just to name a couple.

I'd say it's #1 in hospitality, general friendly atmosphere etc

But Death Valley and The Grove are overall superior for getting smashed as fk and watching college football.
