Even if we do disappoint this year. I can guarantee we don't drop all 4 of those. Butch is good for 1 quality game a year vs a good team. (Or at least Texas A&M if not a good team.)

You only lose 1 of those 7 games and you are coasting to a CFP elimination game in Atlanta in December IMHO.
Mine too, but until they prove otherwise, I won't pick Tennessee over UF or Bama. So, we're gonna lose 2 in that stretch. Still could get to Atlanta tho, even with 2 losses.
The last 4 years the East winner has been 7-1 in conference.
I do think 6-2 will be enough to win it this year though.

A&M scored 4TDs in only 2 Conference games last season and they're going to win by that margin with Trevor Knight

Your run defense is soft as baby shite, we're going to break records against you. You might as well forfeit now, save yourselves the embarrassment.
I'm more confident about beating you than I am about beating Kentucky.

FWIW the last year UT made Atlanta, they were violently shat on by both UF and Bama. It still baffles me how both UF and UGA were able to choke that division away.
(And UT damn near avoided choking it right back with a 1 point win over Vandy and a 4OT win over UK.)

Yea, I think Tennessee goes 5-2 over that stretch and then probably finishes the regular season 10-2.

That Alabama-Tennessee game was just strange. We weren't that good, we suspended half our good players an hour before the game, Tennessee was rolling and we came out and won by 30.

A 1 loss SEC champion is getting into the playoff 100% of the time.
Unless you drop 2 games, you have nothing to worry about.
The more dangerous aspect of 1 loss is not eliminating you from the CFP, but causing you to lose the division.
You could easily be a 1 loss non-SEC champion and then you're at the mercy of fate.

A 1 loss team not winning their division is really only an LSU-Bama problem, loser of that game could very well run the table otherwise

ennessee's schedule has been like that for at least 2 decades.
It has been pretty weak overall...but here have been some November games over the last 10 seasons:
'05 - #8 Notre Dame
'06 - #13 LSU, #11 Arkansas
'11 - #8 Arkansas
'13 - #10 Missouri, #9 Auburn
'14 - #19 Missouri
You are right that the weak schedule is the rule, rather than the exception.
