The fact you say we have the edge at OL gives me hope lol, our OL is pretty damn weak
Ours is patchwork and freshmen. I'd say you have the edge.

I think TN fans and UF fans need to understand that these rosters couldn't be more similar in talent levels.
They are very, very close.
TN has the edge in time in system and some offensive skill talent.
UF has the edge in coaching acumen and more elite defensive playmakers.
Should be a very good game.

Tennessee, however, will be playing their first road game this year.
Technically speaking, our game against Bowling Green was a road game. Yeah it was in Nashville but they still got a feel for playing outside of Neyland. I don't consider it on the same level as an SEC road game out of state though.

Tennessee has opened as 3 point underdogs to Florida. I think Tennessee is clearly the more talented team but Vegas has seen how Butch has coached in big games and he's terrible. Butch better pray he wins this game or it's gonna get ugly for him with our fan base.
It's not just big games, its even against shitty teams. Did you see what happened against Florida last year?

This.
Tenn is definitely moving up in the world, but can that many people really be surprised by the line?

What's Butch's buyout?

Under the extended contract, the buyout is $4 million through Feb. 29, 2016. It falls to $3 million from March 1, 2016 through Feb. 28, 2017, then goes to $2 million for the duration of the contract.

I think we may have a slight talent advantage, as well as a bit of an edge in experience. Glad we aren't starting frosh at QB and RB. UF's great defense is better than UT's good defense, but UT's decent offense is better than UF's very mediocre offense. I still think that UT is the slightly better team and should win, and this is our most favorable UF matchup in quite a while, but I'm not predicting anything this week, because in recent history we've usually lost these types of games. UF's actual team worries me very little, UT's potential to find yet another new way to blow it against UF worries me much more.

From a match up perspective I like UF's TE's against UT's LB's in coverage. UT has been weak there.
I also think Grier or Harris, whomever plays, can hurt Tennessee really bad with their legs - which is why UF will once again win the rushing battle -just barely.
Also, despite the youthful talent, UT is still somewhat weak up on the middle on defense. They have some players that can be very disruptive on the outside, but the overall unit is still average in the middle.

You cant use the stat of points scored by UF against UK and compare that to what USC scored. If you wanna do that...how about comparing what our defense didnt allow vs what USCs mediocre defense allowed. We held UK to 240 yds TOTAL.
UK has a much better defense than people give em credit for and UK was ramped up to the max to beat us and stop the streak. In spite of this our offense managed to move the ball, albeit sporadically. No serious blunders on our part on offense except we missed FG and Grier threw 1 ill advised pass into the end zone on a first down play when we were at the 5 yd line...and we got picked off. Grier ran the ball extremely well to pick up crucial yds on third downs especially. Grier was our leading rusher.
UT better gameplan on stopping Grier from running at times and he actually showed the ability to escape pass rush. UK was a good test for us...we used two true frosh OL a lot. We are a team that will get better as season progresses. But playing in the Swamp in an important SEC east matchup on CBS....advantage UF.
Special teams concern me, returner on kick offs brought two out of the end zone that he shouldnt and we had delay flag on FG attempt and then got it blocked on next attempt...which was chip shot. We have to clean this up or it will bite us sooner or later. FG kicker has strong leg and was actually our starter a few years ago and replaced due to inconsistent kicks...might be time to place ad in student newspaper inviting try outs or wander over to soccer field and watch some.

In the UK game, it was much closer to being a higher scoring game. They tackled our TE for no call on what would have been a wide open TD pass and then Grier under threw an open receiver in the endzone resulting in an INT. There is growth in this offense, it definitely looks improved.

Grier slip'n'slides all over Butch this weekend. VOLS are no better than ECU, and you saw what we did to them... beat them. Kentucky is better than Tennessee, and we crushed them. Tennessee fans will be butt chuggin' all Saturday and they will miss church on Sunday. Makes me sick. Gatas, Gatas, Gatas!

Who would be willing to accept your application?
Vandy? Arky? Those are the only two I can think of right now.

No, no, it wasn't. They were using the UT graphics and audio inside the stadium. It was absolutely a home game. It wasn't even "neutral site" since those games use a combination on the video and audio side.
It isn't even worth mentioning when it comes to playing in The Swamp. That would be like me saying we played an in-state school in Austin Peay, so we know what it will be like to face UT already.
