Your offense didn't hit 250 against UK and they're not exactly known for defense. I think we can hold you under 200, but I wouldn't be shocked if the same happened to us.

UK will beat Mizzou if Mizzou can't put an offense together in a week IMO.

How many times has this happened?

That UK defense was improved and our offense looks better than last year. I said looks. There seems to be an actual scheme and some creativity.

It was our FR QBs first start on the road to boot.

If UT holds UF to under 200 yards I'll buy and wear a UT ugly orange T-shirt.

Talent is pretty even

Qb - Tennessee though Dobbs looked suspect vs Ou and our d is much better
Rb - Tennessee
WR- Tennessee
Te - Florida
Oline - Tennessee
Dline - Florida
Lb - Florida with Maggie out
Cb - Florida
Safety - Florida
Special teams - Tennessee
Coaching- Florida

Should be a good game.. And before you try to say your Dline is better...ours is deeper and much better at DT Bullard is a monster.

The fact you say we have the edge at OL gives me hope lol, our OL is pretty damn weak.

Tennessee has been pushing this talent thing with Florida since January and it is just false. On paper, looking at past recruiting classes, they are equal, at best.

Looking at actual play on the field and production, it is again, maybe even, but the only clear advantage I see from a talent perspective is Floridas DTs and secondary which are both much more talented than UT right now from top to bottom, and UTs WRs, for the same reason.

It shouldn't. Tennessee has found countless ways to lose to Florida -- even great Tennessee teams have done so.

If we could be as creative on offense as we are of finding ways to lose games to UF, we would be damn near unbeatable.

I acknowledge this. Florida has been an albatross for UT since Spurrier took over. But I honestly think that they'll get it done this season. They had them dead-to-rights last year and choked it away, so they ought to be fired up as can be for this season. I think that people (some even within the Vol fanbase!) are writing the Vols off a little early. I think your most likely remaining losses come against Georgia, Bama, and Missouri, and I could easily see UT winning at least one of those.

I can't argue with anything you're saying except to say that it's completely in our head when it comes to Florida. I hope that's not the case with our players but it definitely is with our fanbase. I think the heartbreaker last year is one of the reasons fans are more down than usual about this game.

Also, Curt Maggitt's loss will be felt this game. I'd felt good about our pass rush brutalizing UF's QB and really giving us an edge this game but now we've lost half our production and despite the young DEs we have being super-talented in their own right, they're true freshmen and this will be their first real game.

I still think this is a very talented, albeit young, Tennessee team and from a purely analytical perspective I think we should win this one but given the series history I'm far more cautious.

Florida put up less points against UK than USCjr did, and south carolina is flat out terrible this year. The Vols held OU to 3 pts until midway through the 4th qtr.

On the flipside, our offense doesn't look great either. This should be a low scoring affair.

If we score >13 points, the streak will finally end.

Same thing could have been said, and everyone said about KY.

Regarding our low O output on Saturday. It was our firs QB's start on the road. SC was playing against KY at home.

I think this game is a crap shoot, but I think since the game is in Gainesville, the FG advantage in Vegas is very reasonable.

saw a little of the Kentucky florida game. Kentucky couldn't handle Florida's defensive line, otherwise they would have won. (besides the dropped early td pass).

if Tennessee can score 21 points, they should win.

UK was our RS Freshman's first SEC Road start as a QB.

He will play better this week.

Florida's offense will play better against Tennessee at home than they did against UK on the road. Just being at home should help with that.

Tennessee, however, will be playing their first road game this year.

I think this will be similar to the 2005 game, which was ugly and owned by both defenses.

Alright, the Gators are 3-0 and have extended one streak against a motivated and improved UK team on the road with a Freshman QB and 2 Freshman OL men.
It's time to break into the top 25 with a win against the UT Vols, end the hype for 2015 and extend the steak against the Cream sickle boys from Tennessee to 11.
The Swamp will be electric and the pressure to end the streak will be too much for the visitors to handle. The Gators take care of business and get ready for the biggest game in a long time when the Ole Miss Rebels come to town on Oct 3rd. UF 24 - UT 10 Go Gators!
