This is a bad move.

2017 is the year I think we will have competing talent (not this year)

Now we waste probably half of August practice prepping for flexbone option.

ADs who schedule these games against Tech, Air Force, and Georgia Southern obviously never coached before.

We're also likely breaking in a new QB by then as well.

Unless Dobbs goes pro after this season, we will be too.

uhh 2016 we will have elite talent...we are almost there this year.

2017 will likely be even better but we will have a new QB.

I would rather have home and homes and don't like the Monday night game.

But it is cool to play Tech.

Especially when they win, right?

(It really is a lose-lose kind of game for a SEC team. Went through it with Auburn)

I've never worried much about losing to tech..over the entire history of the series dating back to 1893 we typically win about 7 out of every 10 games. If you take away the games that were recently "vacated" due to their cheating, they have beaten us 3 times since 1991. 3 times...in nearly 25 years.

they're a boring school with a boring fanbase in a boring stadium with a boring brand of football.

With Tech's O eating up time I doubt you'll get enough time to put up 42 points.

McKenzie and Tuttle will be Jr DTs in 2017. I doubt GT gets more than 6 first downs in the game.

Since Butch will get fired after going 7-6 this year maybe the next coach can utilize those two.

Do have to go over again that our DC left two weeks before the game, and we played that game with our DB coach as a DC.

The triple option that they run is a thing of beauty to watch. I would not call it boring unless you are into the new arena ball that is taking over CFB.

I love how college football has overtaken all of labor day weekend. It starts on thursday and goes until monday. I love it.

I do too. Football returning should be treated as a celebration. NFL does a good job with this too

It definitely makes for a great holiday weekend. Hopefully this year I can finish up the yard work before it starts.

Our OC left 3 weeks before the national title game. Our QB coach called the plays and guess what? We won the national title, b!tch.

Hi guys

Who could this stranger be that I see posting here?

Also if I was the Vols I'd be a bit concerned about starting off the season with the game. Not that I think y'all won't be heavy favorites going into the game, but with the cut blocking scheme flexbone teams tend to use the chance of losing a D-line starter is certainly there.

Great matchup! These two should play more often anyways.
