In fairness: UT's catcher doesn't look like he is nut slapping a dude when he throws it back to the pitcher. So they do have that going for them.

I think Serrano can coach but I don't think he knew how bad it was when he took over the program. He admitted today that his first year he spent most of the 11.7 on position players and should have used more of it on pitching.

If I was going to retain him I would have given him a 3 year extension....IMO, all a 1 year extension does is tell everyone, improve or you're gone.

I agree with LSU GrandDad. The man can coach, maybe there are hurdles to overcome that are not related to the coach and the administration understands it.

If we did, you'd say "no money to extend Serrano's contract."

1. What does the hitch in our catcher's throw back to the mound have anything to do with this?

2. That catcher hit 10+ HRs this year and was named to the SEC All Freshman team. So I don't give a frick how he throws if he improves on this season in his sophomore year

In all seriousness, this should be an indicator that we would rather just suck at baseball than have to invest time and money into it.

Hell, most of us that post here probably wouldn't even know how the team was doing if not for all the trash talk that goes on here.
