Already started...BUT we still honor every offer we make for the full four years.
It's somewhat of a good thing to have a coach that does this but its just unrealistic if you want to compete in today's SEC.

Georgia will have a monster class this year if they get most of what they should
Posted on 8/18/15 at 3:35 pm to LanierSpots
hell yeah we will. It could legitimately be the best class we've ever signed in school history.
Granted, not ALL of our wants/big fish left out there are going to come of course...but even if we get 3/4 of who we're still in teh mix for you're looking at guaranteed top 5. If we get like 90% of the guys we're still in the mix for you're talking an elite level class.

That's A LOT of elite QB talent potentially ending up at UTK..
I would be amazed if they all stayed.
With the talent Butch has coming in, I think he can get it done in a few years. But if not, Vol fans should really begin questioning things.. Tennessee should at least be in playoff contention at some point during the next 3 or 4 years.
UGA has talent, but I really don't think they can win at the elite level with their current QBs, unless that graduate transfer from UVA comes in and is friggin' gunslinger.. Doesn't necessarily have to happen though since UGA is mostly a ground game offense and encouraging elite RBs to enroll at UGA has never been a problem.
I think both schools are really an elite QB away from a playoff berth though.

UGA has had tons of talent in the last 10 years and actually could have won an NC if not for running into some outstanding LSU and Bama teams (or a slow start)
it's about time the East improved. damnit, UT, UGA AND UF need to be strong. they are Big 6 BABY!

The Tennessee fans this year so remind me of the Aggie fans from two years ago.
Uncanny.
Uncanny.

A storm is coming, we will crush everyone next season, hammer the SEC West winner, and cruise to the national title game.
Then Eason will be arrested on pot charges, Chubb will be arrested for illegal baby bump touching, and our entire o-line will suffer broken legs and arms from moped accidents

We don't need an Aaron Murray though, we just need our QB not to suck

UGA won't win a NC as long as Richt is there. His chances have come and gone. He'll always lose 1 or 2 games he shouldn't. Heck, Butch might end up being the same type of coach.

I do. I live with two whores, a lesbian, and a one-legged African circus midget. It is all just one big, fun pile.
I know someone that knows you irl. They say say you are the same asswipe in person that you are in the forum. Said your conversations are just as shitty as your posts.

But...we're correct.
In college football, a rather consistent pattern has emerged in the last 15 years where NC-winning HC's are relatively new to their program.
2000, Bob Stoops—2nd season
2001, Larry Coker—1st season
2002, Jim Tressel—2nd season
2003, Nick Saban—4th season
2004, Peter Carroll—4th season (vacated)
2005, Mack Brown—8th season
2006, Urban Meyer—2nd season
2007, Les Miles—3rd season
2008, Urban Meyer—4th season
2009, Nick Saban—3rd season
2010, Gene Chizik—2nd season
2011, Nick Saban—5th season
2012, Nick Saban—6th season
2013, Jimbo Fischer—4th season
2014, Urban Meyer—3rd season
This is Richt's 15th season, and if I were a UGA fan, I would want to refresh the program with a new face...not necessarily with the hope of winning of NC, but more so to add a new sense of excitement with the program.
I understand how it's hard to imagine letting him go as he has been one of the most consistent coaches...hence his long run at UGA.

And end up like Tennessee?
Yeah we should fire a coach who averages 10 wins a season, great idea.
Tell me who'd be your replacement.
Sure there's a chance we could hit a home run but for every Saban or Miles hire there's plenty of Kiffin and Dooley hires.

This is such a UGA approach to the situation...arguing statistics not results. He averages 10-win seasons yet only has two SEC championship to show for it...the last being a decade ago.
Are you not ready to move on?
Posted on 8/18/15 at 5:48 pm to Serraneaux
Impressive. Ten years and counting on building that roster for UT.

Richt is 7-3 vs AU the last decade. How you like them results?
