riding with the mountaineers and former florida qb will grier to carve up the vols and cover double digit spread with ease. this will be an embarrassing debut for jeremy pruitt imo.

I like West Virginia to win 38-17 or something to that effect.

WVU should shitcan their coach at half time if it's even close.

Grier should be the next coming of Mayfield, and it is bad timing for a new UT staff.

WVU to cover, probably up to -16.5.

Hard not to choose WV, but over the years Tenn has seemed to find a way to win their first big game of the year.

I'd be on Tennessee. WVUs defense is going to be terrible as usual.

Tennessee’s looking ahead to Florida. I think they lose them both. And I think WV covers.

WVU. Neither team has a defense. Only West Virginia has a QB. I don't see UT being competitive in the second half.

Why would they be looking ahead to FL when theyre a 10 point dog to a top 25 team game one?

I've had this game circled for awhile and like the points quite a bit. TN is the play.

Dude you gotta be kidding me?

First of all, mayfield was one of a kind type player one in a million.

Second, one played for a loaded Oklahoma team with a young hot coach and the other plays for a mediocre WVU team with a coach who has proved he can’t win the big game.

Until proven otherwise, you have to keep assuming Tennessee isn't going to pick itself up off the mat.

WVU has had horrible luck with their defense this offseason, and they weren't very good to begin with. They may have one of the worst defenses in the P5. I wouldn't give Tennessee 10 points. If UT can cobble together a decent OL for the first game, they could win this outright.

I'm going with Tennessee to cover and possibly squeak out an upset.

Who does Tenner have on offense? No QB, no Kelly....

Will Friend has already done wonders with this OL *but* we're talking about an OL that allowed a sack or hurry on 50% of passing plays. Yeah we were at one point playing freshmen and walkons but they were baaad.

Getting Trey Smith back and hopefully a healthy Chance Hall will help as will transfer Brandon Kennedy but that OL is coming from the bottom. I think they can actually be pretty decent as long as they don't suffer injuries but I won't allow myself to believe until I see it.

You anti-Vols should go ahead and bet the entire schedule of spreads against the Vols. You'll be lucky to have a house at the end of the season.
