Laugh all you want. Still don’t change the facts that UT sits #2 in National Titles among SEC teams. And has the #2 best winning % of all SEC teams. Those are facts.

With stats like those you must own the head to head over the Dawgs too right?

For football, how far back would you go for relevant national championships?

Most of your title claims are absolute horseshite. Losing bowl games, finishing ranked 4th, etc. Just nonsense.

If everyone played the same goober game you play with "claimed" titles we'd all have several more.

Claiming retroactive computer “titles” is pathetic. It isn’t a fact, it’s what your school decided to claim in the mid 2000s decades after the seasons happened. 4 of those “titles” are, quite literally, from computer algorithms and polls that didn’t exist when the seasons were played. And y’all complain about the titles Alabama claims

I think they're paying to listen to it lol.

Ah, the good ol' Likenhous poll of 1967...

"While USC and Oklahoma were voted as the top ranked team in some of the postseason polls, there were voters that took into account Tennessee’s success against a tough schedule. The publication Litkenhous, which specialized in sports rankings named the Vols the national champions of the 1967 season."

And 50/51 still make at worst 3. And 67 is more legit than half of Bamas. So at best you are too stupid to count to 3, worst case you can’t count to 4. Either way you are stilll an idiot.

Please tell us all about the 1953 national title claim and how that came to be. Fascinating!

Look, I appreciate the pageantry and history of the game and appreciate what happened years and years ago to pave the way for the game.

However, when you bring it up in to make a relevant discussion about being a powerhouse today? I’m going to check you — and I don’t think titles from 75 years ago should be thrown around to make a point about today.

I’d say from 1970s onward I hold in a more legit light because of; racial integration, implementation of weight lifting in the sport making better athletes, and the development of more sophisticated passing games and offensive and defenses in general.
