Currently, I'm being offered -13. I'd like to jump all over that. Even though Tennessee has trouble getting out of their own way, I believe the Vols will absolutely keep it closer than that.

What injuries are notable for Tennessee and Alabama? Any other news or updates that would sway your opinion?

Nothing notable for Alabama. Foster and Taylor should be able to play. Jacobs could have went back in against Arkansas, but we have a legit four deep at RB right now.

Are you remotely concerned with the Freshman quarterback? Y'all get down pretty deep against Ole Miss. Naturally, the QB and team showed great resolve in coming back (getting up 48-30) and securing the win.

I think that Neyland will be a completely different animal and talent wise, I think this Tennessee team is better than Ole Miss. If they can get it together and not play so slipshod, they can take this one down to the wire.

Not the least bit now. Everyone keeps wanting to say the environment and moment will get too big. He's yet to flinch.

Basically UT's entire defense except their dline. Most notably DB Cam Sutton and LB Reeves-Maybin. It's a shame for UT, those guys were special..

Their DL too. They lost a starter to injury/dismissal.

Yeah our LB and DB have been killed with injuries. Kirkland should be back at LB this weekend, which will be a huge boost but you just can't replace guys like Sutton and JRM.

I think this has a lot to do with the injuries for UT. They seem to be banged up at least according to their reports. Games with Alabama are physical too and a lack of depth can turn a close game into one that gets away from you in the 4th. If I had to bet I'd say UT covers but I think Vegas and the bettors are properly factoring in the potential depth issue for Tennessee in a game like this.

How do you see this game playing out? I think Tennessee will really feed off the crowd and play-up to Alabama. However, I think that raw emotion can only feed a team so long. I haven't watched too much of Alabama (a little of the USC game and Ole Miss). Do you think they could cover the -13 spread?

Yes. But personally, I wouldn't touch this game.

I think UT's in for a solid 4+ turnover game and an arse whoopin myself.

Josh Dobbs locks onto Malone too much, you've got 2 good RB's but no depth at Oline, third and long is coming and it won't be pretty since Bama has 3 pass rushers that would literally be playing on Sundays if they had gone pro last year (Williams, Allen, Anderson).

Can Tennessee block 3 NFL caliber pass rushers all game? (rhetorical question).

We are on game 7. He's not as good and polished as he will be this time next season, but he has gone on the road at Ole Miss and Arkansas and played pretty mistake free. I don't think 25,000 extra fans is going to change that. Bama could lose this game, but it won't be because of who they have playing QB.

This happens to Bama all the time. Teams come out jacked up at home. Bama weathers the storm the first 15 to 20 minutes then settles in and plays Bama football.

4 weeks in a row of brutal games with the end at Alabama. Tennessee with multiple stars out. Bama rolls 17+

But then again I took Tennessee in the ats thread so I can say I'm right either way. Mark May taught me everything

Yeah. There is some small concern. He's got an absolute cannon for an arm, yet for some reason has underthrown a handful of deep balls this year. He had two passes to two different TEs on Saturday that would have gone for TDs if they were thrown better. Those drives, I think, ended up in TDs anyway, but eventually you leave points on the board and it can hurt you.

As far as him having freshman nerves? No concerns. He's shown no inclination to get rattled in the slightest.
