If Donnie survives we'll step up soon in basketball. But yeah, I miss it too. I want the damn Barrel back!

I know they made the Gators the permanent rival for TV but not making the Vols and Cats the permanent rival in MBB was a big long term mistake.

I think so too. Both teams fill up their arenas when that game is hot and the rivalry is freaking heated because we live with each other and it's one old arse rivalry. If Donnie survives they'll live to regret it -- the SEC office forgot that the highest rated basketball game was Tennessee vs. Memphis. Now imagine if it had been Tennessee vs. Kentucky at 1 and 2. We don't even have to be that high to make those ratings kick.

The rivalry is there, especially in Knoxville and Lexington where we are all mixed in with each other, all it needs is to be stoked and the SEC would get a much better show because of that. Hell, that game hot on game days even when we suck.

Instead they went with the right this second but it's a square peg in a round hole in terms of trying to create a must watch game.

Quit living in the 90s. Ole Miss is undoubtedly the better program right now.

I don't have time right now to list all the reasons why Ole Miss is easily the better program in 2015. I'll be happy to have this debate tomorrow

Uh we went to the Sweet 16 last year?

Friendly question-- why does your Tennessee picture feature Eli Manning? Wrong Manning my friend... He's a reb.

UK fans don't hate UT in football, either

I do. But it's abated to some extent. When I was growing up in Lexington you couldn't wear orange. Now, UofL has taken the front seat in the rivalry wagon.

You sound like my South Carolina fan friends down here heading into the 2013 seasons. They realize now I was always right and their flash in the pan is over and the Vols are going to back on top very soon.

You'll see soon as well. But you deserve to think this as you did whip our asses this year, so congrats.

Kentucky was trash for the greater part of those years (besides Timmy Couch) although the streak wasn't actually 30 years and Tenn. was in its glory days-- a la Peyton Manning and so on. Basketball on the other hand...
