Sweet moral victory, though.

I'm not proud that we lost. I'm proud that we stood toe to toe with the eventual national champions on their home field. And I'm looking forward to next season where we return pretty much the exact same team with 1 more offseason under their belt. I don't think it's unreasonable to find positives even in games you lost.

We lost the game. I don't know what else you want me to say. Look only at the negatives? I guess you do that a lot when you have a terrible football program like South Carolina.

That one play is what ultimately cost Jancek his job.

Very good point. He did okay with what he inherited in Knoxville but his bend but don't break philosophy cost us far too often. Reminded me of 3rd and Chavis in late game scenarios.

I highly doubt VOLS would've lost to Oklahoma or Florida last year if we had Shoop instead of Janitors.

No. We make up moral victories. Like you're doing now.

I don't get moral victories I guess. We lost but we played well. I'm gonna look at the positives, because there are plenty. You can take your pessimistic attitude and frick off

Just like you tell yourself that South Carolina didn't get turned down by several coaches before having to settle for Muschamp. "Muschamp was our second choice all along guys!"

Link me where I said that?

He was our 4th choice, and the best of the rest. I've never denied that.

Curious though, which "several coaches" turned us down? I only know of 2. Maybe 3, if you count mutually parting ways.

humm... I can only remember like four of them. Herman, Rich Rod, Dino Babers(Bowling Green), Willie Taggart(South Florida).

ETA: Larry Fedora. That's five. Can any other USCjr fans help me out here?

Do you actually believe that we were turned down by Rich Rod?

Cause

You seem to think just because we interviewed these people that we were offering them jobs. Babers, Rich Rod, and Taggart were never offered.

Larry Fedora?! LOL. We never even talked to him.

We offered Herman and Smart. Maybe Fuente behind closed doors.

Oh yeah! I totally forgot about Kirby Smart. UGA snatched him from you guys. That's six!

Nope. Still only 2 actually offered.

And we never had Smart. One could argue it was a power play to get UGA to make a move.

Meanwhile, Mizzou couldn't find anyone interesting to interview so they said frick it and hired...frick. I can never remember his name.
