Not a flame/trolling post. Which last season loss was tougher to swallow? I only ask because Tennessee had some heartbreakers and was a few plays away from being 11-2.

31-24 (OT) Oklahoma?
28-27 Florida?
19-14 Alabama?

Florida by a fricking mile. And I was at the game too, in that ugly pile of diseased reptile shite known as Gainesville, which made it even worse.

I remember being in the stadium and my buddy looked at me with like 7 minutes left and said "we're about to lose this damn game." Tennessee had us dead to rights, pulled one out of our arse on that day.

For me it was Oklahoma.

I was physically sick for about 2 days after that loss. Definitely one of the harder ones for me to take in recent memory

Florida easily. OU was awful but you could feel it coming for a while when the offense went stagnant in the second half. Alabama was a heartbreaker but I walked away feeling like Tennessee played very well and just got beat by a better team.

Florida was a bed shitting of the highest degree. They did nothing to win that game except wait for Tennessee to inevitably self implode as usual in this rivalry. I mean, what the frick was Jancek's thinking trying to spy Grier on 4th and 14?? Just comical really.

Yep just before the 4th quarter I knew what was coming, it sucked because the fans were rocking the stadium doing everything they could.

UF was just a cluster f*** and frustrating.

They can't answer this until after their upcoming 9-4 season is over.

ETA: just realized there was more to your question. My bad...

Clemson says "hi".

Sweet moral victory, though.

That one play is what ultimately cost Jancek his job.

In order

1.) Florida - Devastating level of a loss, LSU 2010 level. I wanted to die for a day.

2.) Oklahoma - Pretty frustrating but honestly still at that point I was happy that we took a great program to overtime and could tell that we actually had a decent team for the first time in about 10 years so was encouraged.

3.) Bama - Never thought we had a shot to win the whole game, could tell they were just waiting till they had to put on steam to close it out. Proud of our fight but at that point was more concerned with winning out to finish 9-4 which we did setting up the first year I knew we could contend for a title in ages this fall.

I'm convinced Tennessee is snake bitten. Last year probably wasn't even the worse lost to Florida. I remember the hype of the 2012 Tennessee squad with Tyler Bray, Paterson, and Justin Hunter on offense. They beat NC State to open the season and gameday was in town for the UF game with Will Muschamp as HC and Driskel at QB.

Then of course the '14 game ended with Florida winning 10-9.

Tennessee is truly snake bitten.
