My only visit to SC was when my sister was graduating from Clemson and I went with my parents. I was in 8th or 9th grade. Thought it was a cool college town. This was in December.
Went by Anderson for some reason and then went to the Biltmore Estate for a Christmas tour, which was impressive. I remember sneaking a bunch of gulps of mulled wine when I was there, getting buzzed, and losing a contact lens. Crazy times.

Very close. It's code for "Damn..what a stupid yankee." I kid you not. And I just broke Southern code telling you that.

My first trip to Clemson was in 92. I'm not sure what the campus is like now, but I do remember a lot of dorms with broken glass.

Well thanks for filling me in on that, and once again, my lips are sealed.

Spent a lot of time in SC.
Dated a granddaughter of a former Clemson head football coach while she was in school there. Great college town and game days. Most places are college bars or restaurants that turn into college bars at night. A lot of fun if you're that age but stick to Greenville if you're older. This was during the Clemsoning years so I saw a lot of frustrated fans.
Went to Greenville frequently with old gf. Downtown forestry at its finest. Strong bar and restaurant scene and good MiLB stadium.
Columbia really is hotter than hell. Five points was fun back then but kinda trashy. The Vista is fun. Williams-Brice is rad and their fans bring it. Went in 2013 and want to schedule more home and homes with them rather than Charlotte games. Baseball stadium is awesome and when their fans came to Boshamer for the super...once again they brought it. Tickets were going for $200 outside the Bosh.
Charleston is a God-tier city that I've been to many times. During my last trip I stayed in an AirBnB downtown and highly recommend that to anyone visiting. My brother lived downtown about 8-9 years ago and we had great times at the old Johnson's, Blind Tiger, Burns Alley, AC's,etc. Tons of top restaurants at all price points. Go to D'Allessandro's and thank me later.

If you have a Yankee accent you might wanna practice talking like us. Just draw out the vowels and leave off most of the ends of words..like taaaalkin', for example. Otherwise you may get dirty looks for the War of Northern Aggression.
ETA: frick my life...I'm getting as bad as Tillman with the editing.

I don't really like the state of Missouri but they produced some solid Confederate guerrillas.
