It looks like it is 3-4 with "one gap" responsibilities rather than "2 gap" responsibilities.
TBH, I like it. I mean most college teams do not have 2 groups of 2 gap defensive linemen they can roll out there over and over (Bama, LSU, maybe Florida and a few others). I think it is a great base defense that can be taught quickly and probably works better against HUNH than some of the more complex defenses (see Clemson versus Bama for how the complexity can work against even a well coached team with top shelf talent).
I would love to see AU shift to this as a base defense.

USC also has a 2-4-5 package with a nickel corner instead of a nose guard. Considering the athleticism and ability of their defensive backs, plus the fact that Alabama is having qb issues; I don't see Kiffin slinging the ball around too much.

Is Jackson going to cover everyone? He was on the field for them last year and multiple teams threw the ball all over the yard on them.

Really??? I LOVE IT..... You guys are NOT that good... Not this year.. And I LOVE Saban as a coach.... If this game was played after week 3 or 4... It would be NO CONTEST.... Bama would CRUSH USC........................
