The game is a TBA as far as I know and I think CBS has first option of which SEC game it wants

Figured Bama/Ole Miss will be at 3:30, LSU/UF will be at 8

I hope he is well soon. Well enough to play LSU.
He is a fine young man and a great ambassador for the SEC and Christians. I do fear for his health. Concussions are serious business. Tim has a great future ahead of him. I wish him the best!

The hit he took was a whole lot like Hatch's concussion in the Auburn/LSU game last year, but I think Tebow's looked much worse in several ways:

1) Tebow lost consciousness for a decent amount of time, and had no movement and labored breathing.

2) Hatch got right up and stumbled and fell down and then walked off the field and looked in a daze.

3) Hatch wasn't carted off, and if I recall correctly wasn't vomiting following the hit

As a fan, I want Tebow to play in the LSU game because he's a hell of a player and this will be the last chance to see him play against my Tigers. However, as someone with a little knowledge in how concussions affect someone, I really doubt he'll be ready. Even if they say he's ready, and he feels he can go, the risks are too great this soon from the trauma.

I know that LSU will be coming after him full speed hopefully if he plays, but you have to think that the players are going to have his injury in the back of their minds and be a little hesitant with their hits. I doubt Tebow wants that on top of the risks if some players ignore that feeling.

I am happy to hear he is doing better though.

he won't play against LSU. with these things it is better to be safe than sorry. Before the season I started a thread asking what non Florida fans were going to miss him after his senior year. this kid is what it's all about.

I'm sure Rich Brooks demanded Tebow stay there. He informed the docs to take an extra vial so he could keep it and possibly clone Tebow when the technology catches up.

I'm not a doctor but what I read said that a stage 3 concussion (the worst kind) involves a loss of consciousness, no matter what length of time they are unconscious. Typically, the article said, stage 3 concussions require 1 to 2 weeks out of sports (at a minimum).

Obviously the team doctors know more than I ever will, I just hope for Tebow's sake that his competitive drive and what's on the line for Florida doesn't lead him to playing when in reality he should not be.

I definitely hope the kid recovers and is ok'd to play LSU, for several reasons: 1. If we lose to UF with the backup, we will look worse. 2. If we know Tebow isn't going to play, the LSU players may let up and lessen our slim chances.
3. As improbable as a win over UF will be either with or without Tebow a win over them WITH Tebow would be obviously much more satisfying
4. I really like Tebow want to see him continue great success both off the field as well as on it, except against LSU. Geaux Tebow but

I dont see why people think this. UF team is so good i could go in there and keep it close.

You badly misunderstand the aggressiveness of SEC caliber defensive football players. This would be like blood in the water to sharks. They will do everything they can to take him out of the game and exploit his weakness.

The reason is quite simple: Tebow is better/more experienced and the undisputed team leader. If we lose to a Tebow led team, it's no surprise. Lose to his backup (who is his backup for a reason) even if the talent drop off is not that much we are percieved much more poorly. It's better all around to either beat or lose to teams when they are at their best. That should be obvious.

I always thought Tebow would get hurt but never like that. I always thought while he ran up the field trying to get a first down or touchdown he would get hurt, not in a regular play. I honestly hope the poor boy gets well and soon. He's a great player, but all the hype get's on my nerves. Prayers will be sent his way...the boy has a great future ahead of him in the NFL, so the docs better do what's best for him and not the fans(UF or LSU)for his upcoming game in Death Valley!
