Okay, pardon the ignorance, but the negative CT scan...does that mean that there was no severe concussion, or just that there is nothing MORE serious?

Just curious: are you closely connected to the player/family?

I attended a seminar recently about sports related head injuries and if Tebow had a mild concussion followed by a severe concussion, it would be wreckless and irresponsible to allow him to play in 2 weeks.

You don't mess with head injuries.

I do too and hope they do not rush him back too quickly...But I would tend to think if they did it this week with this many guys so sick it may not be a very longshot...Hope he gets well soon

he got his bell rung last week, but he passed all the test.

CT Negative=no bleeding and nothing more serious than thought.

He should have never been in there at that point to begin with. Meyer was just trying to run up the score to prove a point.

Not the praying kind, but hope he has a speedy recovery.

Agreed especially if he had a concussion last week as GP said! I think Meyer had his pride hurt with the UT game and wanted to show better...

I'll be shocked if he's ready for LSU. There's a phenomenon called second impact syndrome that can be catastrophic if he takes another hit to the head before he's fully recovered. Normally he would be allowed to return after being symptom free for a week, but for a severe concussion it would be wiser to wait at least 2 weeks. If he were my son, no way I would let him play against LSU.

This. It means they didn't see any bleed. You can't "see" a concussion on CT. It's more a diagnosis by causation/history and mental status exam.

Same reason Miles or any other coach for that matter is elusive about injuries ...

He was left in to work with our WR unit. He would have been out after that series. Tim wanted to stay in longer, he always does. They have to make him sit.

then by that logic, tebow should've left during the 1st quarter when it was 31-0

some of yall need to understand this is football

I heard that a concussion can cause puking. I was thinking of how odd that flu symptoms would hit at that time in the game, and the chances of it right after that hit. Puking after a hit just sounds scary to me, pray for him and his parents, I'm sure they are freaked out.

Im sorry but the coaching staff made a very bad judgement call on this one! You do not leave your QB in the game up 31-7 trying to recover from H1N1 AND a concussion...

Although in order for this to happen, LSU would have to actually get to TT first...
