Danny Wuerffel did the same thing back in 1996. He turned out to be a pretty good person.

Are his character and integrity stopping him from fornicating at will? This devotion to faith seems a bit opportunistic and self-serving.

It's pretty sad that we have to find flaws in some kid that is actually a nice role model for many of us that have sons. Say what you want about the kid, but he handles himself with a lot of class and integrity, a few things that are often missing in this day and age of indulgence with college athletes.

On the whole Tebow is a good kid/young man...and you're right: he's role model material.

BUT, he's not above reproach in the class and integrity department - post-touchdown arm-pumping celebrations and student section taunting are but two examples.

Eschewing the Playboy offer on moral grounds means a lot more if those morals are applied consistently in his life. Put another way, if he's tagging everything that ain't nailed down in Gainsville, then snubbing Playboy makes him a hypocrite.

Post touchdown armpumping etc? Are you serious bro? Holy shite, you would think he did the DX suck it pose to the LSU student sections etc...That arguement holds zero water (in all due respect) because it's done by a plethora of kids after big plays, including LSU kids.

Assuming that he "nails" girls in college because he is an outright stud is wrong. It may be naive on my part to beieve that he is not nailing girls that are likely all over him at school too.

What I conclude is that his consistent and genuine demeanor are enough to believe with relative certaintly that he is NOT jeapordizing his morals etc with jort-whores in Florida. JMHO

That's fair. We won't agree with what's classy on the field, because anything more than a Barry Sanders type flip of the ball to the ref once you've scored (which LSU players do much more than their counterparts) while in the endzone is inappropriate, self-aggrandizing behavior in my book.

All I'm saying is that if Tim Tebow has set foot in a campus watering hole, had sex with a coed or "sinned" in any other way during his time in Gainsville as a Gator, then he's a complete hypocrite.

But on a lighter note:

No...perhaps a poor choice of words.

How's "this particular application of his faith seems a bit opportunistic and self-serving."

He is a human just like the rest of us. I doubt seriously if he is "golden" and never done something he regrets
