Miss State gets a pass. When they brought back Southern Miss onto the schedule the Golden Eagles were the most dangerous non P5 team outside of Boise State. Not that long ago there were plenty P5 schools that would have shied away from tangled with Southern Miss.

Hell, both State and Ole Miss dropped Southern Miss like a hot potato back in the day because they were getting whipped by their little brother. Now... well lets just say Southern Miss isn't where they used to be.

Mizzou gets BYU, which is a darn decent team to tangle with. Ole Miss had their marque opponent step out on them. Arkansas didn't realize the wheels would come off Texas Tech so quickly. People might moan and complain but the truth of the matter is most SEC teams went out of their way to schedule one dangerous OOC game.

Just some of those games (Texas Tech, Southern Miss) lost a little luster since they were scheduled.

We kind of deserve a schedule break tbh. Especially with Wisconsin at Lambeau, Miami, UCLA, and Oklahoma in the next few years

I have nothing against LSU for playing the game, I just wouldn't put it as a marquee OOC game.

I mean the same shite can be spoken for prior years on yall's schedule so whats your point? However, yall have USC scheduled for 2016 which i think is going to be an awesome game

In the recent years we have had series with West Virginia, Georgia Tech, Oregon, etc

What do you call recent and who's that other etc.? Cause i dont think yall have played a single one of those teams for an opener in probably closer to ten years

And im NOT even talking about Louisville who will be really down from last year after losing so many great players from both sides of O and D.

Losing DeVante Parker hurts, but we return play makers on the offensive side. Defense we add a couple of big time transfers who will see immediate action. Do I think we beat Auburn? Not sure but give me a Petrino team with months to prepare and who knows.

That doesn't make any sense given Clemson has played UGA and Auburn several times in recent years, plus have Texas AM on the schedule in coming years.

The only two schools that don't play a P5 opponent are Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt & Missouri.

G Tech lost 4 RB and their best two WR. They got a lot of lucky breaks last year too, Pitt turned ball over 6 times, won last second at va tech, Watson got hurt early in Clemson game, etc.

BYU counts as playing at P5 school starting next season.

If you are an ACC team sure.

The SEC stance that they do not count has not changed.

LSU-Syracu

Is this basketball? LSU versus Syracuse is a joke. Syracuse won 3 games last season - one of which was an OT game versus Villanova. So you need to remove LSU from the 2015 OOC marquee game list.

LSU fans should hold their head in shame over such a laughable OOC opponent.

What's with all the Bama flaming going on?

Serious question. LSU has scheduled tough every season up until 2015, and for whatever reason the Wisconsin series ended up being 2014-2016 instead of back to back.

Besides, we'll have two conference games in the first 3 weeks of the season, followed by a true road trip to Syracuse. That's not an awful start to the season.

I don't get bagging on Georgia and others because they play a tough OOC rival every season. I'd love to see Missouri add a continuous rival like FSU, Clemson, GT, or even Louisville.

People shouldn't forget that both Mizzou and ATM had to shift their schedules significantly when switching conferences. BYU isn't great, but it's not like having Fresno State or Southern Miss as the toughest teams on the OOC sked.

LSU plays Wisconsin, BYU, Syracuse, Texas, UCLA, Arizona State, and Oklahoma in the successive years after 2015. (We play BYU and Syracuse the same year.) We played Wisconsin, Oregon, TCU, and WVU twice in the years immediately before 2015.

Criticism of our OOC scheduling is not warranted.

I love when auburn fans get so obsessed with UGA they become Tech fans by proxy. Don't worry, we are a big family and have lots of room for little brothers of all shapes and sizes

Your out of place here. I was referring to the bamafag guy telling my to hang my head because LSU opens with syracuse when the same thing can be flipped on them for past years.

Most here on the rant made fun of Wisconsin last year when LSU played them. Now all of a sudden they are a power house playing Alabama!! Of course they did beat Auburn.
