If DJ welter can start half the season for us and we still finish with the #1 defense in the sec I'm absolutely confident we'll be better next season. If Brandon Harris plays well we're gonna be dominant forsure

LSU - QB play will continue to be detrimental to LSU's hopes of returning to prominence; furthermore, the defense will see a major drop off in run defense under Steele.
Can't believe I'm gonna stick up for LSU but they will be every bit as successful as last year, they will not do worse. They will will 8 games. Maybe even win a bowl for a change.

QB will be a liability
we heard this bull shite last year.
Then Kiffin turned a RB into a a real good QB.
Sims was a qb and he had a freak always open.

anyone who thinks LSUs run D will be worse wasn't paying attention against MSST or Auburn
"Insert Beckwith" and that changed......Beckwith is back, Adams is experienced, and there's 2-3 former 5 Stars that have Oregeron coaching them now instead of Brick

Tennessee--all the hype videos in the world can't mask the fact that Butch is a former Big East coach in way over his head. Hype videos and gimmicks count for very little on game days.

UT with an avg QB,RB and mediocre coach, OL, D and WRs. 6 wins tops.

The OP is trolling...I hope for his sanity anyway. 10 of 14 teams on the list decline and 3 more about the same. Only the Vols are better. Damn the SEC is clearly going to suck bad this year per the OP.

Tennessee - As Dooley's players exit the program, so do the wins.
Nice...turning the Sherman troll on Tennessee.

Gotta love internet hour at the retard home.

Mississippi State seems like the most logical choice. Lost the most players off their 2 deep of any program in the nation I believe. Mizzou also seems to be headed towards a step back due to roster attrition.

Your argument is invalid because our rein defense has always been vulnerable under the Chavis defense. Our defense under Chavis attacks from the outside with smaller quicker personnel leaving us weak in the middle. That's why when we play smash mouth teams we are exposed. Steele is a linebacker coach and O a defensive line guru. Our run defense will improve and our secondary will do great based on talent alone.

Fun fact of the day :
Steele was almost gonna be our defensive coordinator in 2012. He was Dooley's first choice. Mike Hamilton said no.
We ended up with Sal Sunseri, and we all know how that worked out.

Mizzou - A big drop off is in the works, and it starts with DL production. I still think Mizzou finishes 3rd in the East though.
It will be interesting. The only position on the field that will be worse is the DL, and that's kind of a big deal. To help, we return all of our LB's and all of the important parts with an upgrade in the backfield.
2 big unknowns that will have a huge impact on this year for Mizzou:
1. The impact of new DC Odom. Really a huge fan of this hire. He ran quite a bit of the 3-4 at Memphis and it will be interesting to see if he does so at Mizzou. We have a dearth of guys who can play LB or maybe fit in at DE so it will be interesting.
2. True Freshman Terry Beckner Jr., a top 5 player in the nation (#1 by some) who could play DE or DT. Though he has the tools to play either spot, he'll probably move inside, especially with the loss of Brantley. How fast he adjusts and can make an impact will determine how good our DL is as well. If he can produce immediately, our DT's will be solid, though obviously would have had more depth with Brantley. The DE's will be serviceable but not all-SEC caliber.
The rest of our positions are in about the same spot as we were in going into last year. Lots of people want to question the WR's, rightfully so, but our WR's were questioned last year after we graduated everyone and lost DGB yet kids found a way to catch the ball. They'll find a way this year as well.
Only other spot that might be worse is backup RB's. That has yet to be seen.
OL, TE, QB, LB, DB should all be better.

Unfortunately, I think our Voles may be a tad bit worse than last year
The vast majority of Non-Tenn fans also think this too.

Looks like Steele will be an instant impact. Hamilton isn't known for making the best choices....ever.
