Yep, Carlos Rogers, Ronnie Brown, Carnell Williams, and Jason Campbell were all first round draft picks in 2005

I do what I can. Like your fellow Gump said... I really don't give a shite what they do in the pro's.

I'm a Bucs fan. I have learned to expect failure.

Alabama only had 1 Saban recruit make the Pro Bowl going into last year. Not sure if any made it last year.

Which doesn't mean shite. I looked at 6 or 7 drafts from the last 20 years the other day. On average, less than half of those drafted in the first round of each draft ever went to a pro bowl.

Julio Jones and Marcell Dareus have both been to pro bowls since joining the league. Eddie Lacy just won Offensive Rookie of the Year, rushing for over 1,000 yards despite missing 3 or 4 games, Dont'a Hightower and Mark Barron are both major contributors to the teams they play on and Mark Ingram had a helluva second half of the season this past year.

And yet Mark Ingram sucks so you'd expect it to equal out. Fact of the matter is, he averaged almost 5 yards a carry in 2013 and is averaging right at 4 yards per carry for his career.

like I said, dallas and philly had some of the worst run defenses in the league. Even the shittiest of the shitty rbs would have done what ingram did

Marcel Dareus was a Pro-bowler in 2013...

But who cares?

Is every first round draft pick who doesn't make a pro-bowl a "bust"?

The only first round draft picks that we've had that have warranted a "WTF happened to them?" response are Rolando McClain and MAYBE Trent Richardson or Mark Ingram.

The rest are performing like first round draft picks.

Compare...

...with...

LSU record 2000-2013:

All: 133-37 (.782)
SEC Record: 75-29 (.721)

Doing more with less...

So the same team LSU makes fun of Alabama for playing every year has the same amount of 1st round draft picks this century as LSU.

Alabama had 2 1st rounders in 2000: 6 time pro bowl LT Chris Samuels and 2005 NFL MVP Shaun Alexander.

Bama did not have a single first rounder until 2009: current Bengals starting RT Andre Smith.

Past that, none of our 1st rounders have played more than 4 years in the league, yet the vast majority of them are starting players. The only true bust is Rolando McClain, and that was more to do with work ethic and character than talent.

3 of them are already working in the lay-a-way department at the T Town menswear store.

They handle the Sharpies, the paper bags and the unmarked bills.

I'd say the percentage is at least just as high, if not higher for LSU.

Buster Davis

JaMarcus Russel

Glenn Dorsey

vs.

Rolando McClain

Trent Richardson

Mark Ingram
