AU should be ranked ahead of Bama going into the season. They should be the favorites to win the SEC.

That said, you forgot a few things:

Team B has been ranked in the top 25 for 98 consecutive weeks. Team B has finished in the top 10 for 6 consecutive seasons. Team B has lost talent every year and shown little effects from said talent loss in most seasons. Team B has proven it can win a title with a first year starter as it has done twice in the past 5 seasons(to be fair, "Team A" has won at least an SEC title twice in that time with first yr starting QBs).

Team B gets the benefit of the doubt because they've earned it. Team A hasn't strung together consecutive ten win seasons 1988 & 1989 while Team B has done so for 6 consecutive seasons.

Don't worry about it. People are wrong all the time. I am honestly baffled about why you would care what people predict.

Usually our schedule was weak due to a crappy Auburn team.

Team A won 4 of their games last year with less than a minute to go . And while 2 of th can be classified as last minute drives, the other 2 against their biggest rivals, took divine intervention.

Team A list their best offensive weapon , and without him their returning QB will have to go it primarily in his own, which he can't.

8-4. Book it...

When was the last time AU didn't have a damn good RB? Mason was an awesome player. CAP, Grant, Barber, and Thomas will do just fine.

Judging by your post, Auburn must be replacing Tre Mason with a 70 year old quadriplegic they picked up from a nursing home.

I just read the OP, so maybe this has been discussed but, could it not simply be that the Iron Bowl, which will decide the west, will be played in TT? Seems like enough of an augment to give the best program in the land the edge.
