I'm not even reading the entire post because I don't need to know the specifics to point out that quality of starters matter, quality of back-ups matter, quality of coaching matters, which positions being replaced matters, style of play matters (some teams rotate more than others), the talent level of the lost starters vs the talent level of their replacements matters, et cetera et cetera et cetera. These posts are invariably ridiculously akin to associative property win-loss comparisons.

I am not sure. 3 or 4 more question marks in the title and I will answer.

I thought the link was to Phil Steele's numbers. This new info makes the OP even more hilarious.

Yet so many preseason magazines - including Phil Steele's - are picking the Tide ahead of the Tigers.
Same shite, different year. Funny how some will get worked up over some media guys making predictions. They're more wrong than right, so who cares.

Best gif ever! I have said multiple times on this board that I wish AU was ranked higher than Bama preseason. But its not in my hands.

you realize that preseason rankings don't mean dick, right?
you'd think if anyone understood this, it would be Auburn fans.

I agree that Auburn is getting slept on a bit, but your argument is completely flawed. It doesn't matter who's leaving if the guy coming up behind him is better, especially when you're using bullshite 5% differences.

Team b replaces most with 5 stars. Team b is coached by coach Saban. Team b is your big bro, deal with it

Meh.
Most people know AU should and probably will be better than bama this year.
But bama plays it's traditional weak sec schedule and AU plays it's traditionally tough one.
So good chance bama's record is as good or better.

Because it doesn't really matter who bama loses because their backups are virtually always just as good.
Schedule is a factor as well. Theirs, per usual, is much easier and AU plays in Tuscaloosa.
People think AU was lucky last year.
People want to blow saban.
This thread sucks. Who gives a crap where we are ranked in the pre-season?
Gus is going to have a chance to ram his donkey dong down up saban's arse again. Here's to hoping

Thanks for clearing that up ... The tension felt by all of us reading this thread was palpable... Who would've ever thought team A was Auburn and team B was Bama.

I do not recall Bama ever being left out of the NCG due to a weak schedule...

I think I speak for most of conference in saying that we are elated that Auburn returns most of its defense.
