I'm not puffing my chest out bud, you just said that we overrate our program when we're one of the most successful in the country. Don't say dumb shite if you don't want to get called on it. LSU, Florida, Alabama, Auburn, and Georgia are the SEC's elite year in and year out, all of the rest of the little fish need to learn their place and quit talking shite because they "MIGHT" be good one day. Potential's just another word for mismanaged resources so sorry for not patting you on the back and letting you speculate to me about why Mizzou will be better than LSU one day. Come talk to me when yall have 15 straight years of 8+ win seasons

Oh she can still raise her game from time to time, but her best days are probably behind her. The competition's a little younger and a little sexier.

That's not how football works, and in literally no metric does Missouri compare to LSU so kindly gtfo and go get 40 more points hung on ya'll by Alabama. I get that "we're going to be the new LSU next year" is the cute narrative to go with for all the teams that consistently suck but most of yall are going to continue to suck, just letting you know

Nahh, you're not pumping your chest out at all, including your most recent post. Good gawd dude, relax and quit trying to make your program bigger than what it is. I have nothing against LSU, and hell, I actually like the state of Louisiana as I vacation alot down in Nola.

Not puffing your chest out, then with the same breath telling others to know their place. Think before you foam from the mouth onto your keyboard, kid.

Ok I'm puffing my chest out then, doesn't change the fact that a Missouri fan shouldn't be talking to an LSU fan about football or any other sport for that matter. Pointing out the fact that we've had one of the most successful programs in the nation in the past 15 years isn't "making our program bigger than what it is", it's stating facts. Feel free to enlighten me if we're not one of the top 3 programs in the SEC since the start of the BCS era

Why should I enlighten you when I tend to agree that LSU is atleast in the top 5 of SEC programs? See that's where you run astray, you're so hell bend on pumping up your own program while tearing down others, you don't bother to slow down and actually have a legit, civilized convo.

Trying to tell me that Mizzou fans shouldn't be talking to an LSU fan about sports is not only ignorant, arrogant, and foolish, but down right delusional since it's a Mizzou thread!

Again, slow down kid, don't rush to judgement on other programs, or for that matter, a poster. Not everyone outside the LSU fanbase mocks nor hates LSU. Like I've already stated, I'm cool with the LSU program, and fricking love Nola. You're barking up the wrong tree foaming at the mouth with me.

Go check my first posts in this thread, I jumped in to point out that "TBJ" wasn't the #2 overall prospect and then nicely asked if I should know who some coach is, then you wanted to be a smartass and talk about the "myth" of Missouri football being below par when ya'll really haven't done much. Was I supposed to congratulate yall on not getting skullfricked by Bama last year or winning national championships or having sustained long term success in the SEC? Fact: never once in my entire tigerdroppings career have I ever clicked that "Missouri" link to your left, if you didn't want other fans to jump in and call you out on your "#2 overall prospect" BS then you should've posted this there

You should. You might learn something.

Like who the best DL coach in the country is.

So Beckner wasn't the #2 recruit according to the ESPN link?So Florida is "elite year in and year out" despite firing their coach and going 4-8 the year before?

And that's fine, I didn't have a problem with that as most recruiting sites differ on rankings.

Your question came across as sarcastic, which is exactly what you intended to be. The rest of your posts in this thread bares that out.

Going by when you joined this site (August 2011) you were around when all we heard was how much Mizzou couldn't compete, would get pummeled, a destined bottom feeder etc. Which is exactly why I answered you back sarcastically, because we have shown that was the wrong thinking. I knew how arrogant (nicely asked my arse) your question was. Our DLine coach has help send many of our players on to the NFL just in our short time here.

The problem here is you brush Mizzou aside like we are some peasant working in the fields deserving of no recognition and certainly no respect. And you know, that's cool if that's the way you feel. You and anyone else here can tell us the East is down (something I do tend to agree with) but nobody can change the fact we won the East 2 out of the 3 years we have been here. I know, I know, "so damn what, you won the East when it's down" but your lack of understanding is good programs take advantage of this, which we certainly did.

To answer my own question, since you don't seem to understand what "potential" means. Mizzou, in the long run, will probably be a middle of the pack team most years, occasionally making it to a conference championship game (again, something we already achieved) and yes, if the West provides their classic powerhouse team, may get "skullfricked".

Of course, this could change for the better with Mizzou if we continue with facility upgrades, expanding fanbase donations, and SEC money. Which, of course would and should mean better, higher ranked recruits (like TBJ).

It's nice that TBJ is going to be able to play next season. It's even nicer that even when we don't get five star DL, we turn two, three, and four star defensive linemen into early round draft picks. Harold Brantley was a two star on Rivals and a three star on 247, but he'll be the best DT in the SEC next season.

Yea and he was the composite 13 overall player which means that he was ranked much much lower on other sites. Kind of a joke considering there are people in this conversation saying that I'm the one that's pumping up accomplishments

No, but it'd be wrong to leave them out of that conversation considering they were by far the best team in the SEC from 1990-2008, especially during the Meyer era except for maybe LSU in 2007, and even then they were probably better than us. Florida's program was ridiculous until Meyer had his breakdown

I had to read far too much of this thread for the name Terry Beckner Jr. to come into focus.

I guess reading isn't your strong suit as a link providing his name is in the OP.

So what are these "other sites" he was ranked so much lower other than Rivals?Regardless of where he was ranked he is someone Missouri fans are looking forward to seeing on the field.

Sure, Florida was a powerhouse then. They will likely return to prominence sometime in the future. But the same thing could be said about Tennesee years ago when Fulmer was canned, and they have been nothing more than an average team for years.
