Holbrook has now missed it twice in 5 years.
What a fricking joke of a coach.

Another Smoke Laval. I said it when SC promoted him to HC.

smoke was fired just a couple years removed from the CWS though

It had little to do with that and everything to do with losing 8 SEC series in a row and a garbage record vs the RPI top 50.

The collapse down the home stretch has to be a particular concern. USC was not looking in bad shape at the half way point of the season and then y'all just went off the rails.

At least y'all have learned what not to do. I would be shocked if y'all don't go after an elite coach.

Only LSU fans would think the trajectory of program was changed on a downward spiral just 2 days ago because of a loss to them.

I'll trade you.
In as talent rich of a state as Georgia is we haven't made the tourney since 2011.

If we don't fire him this year (which I don't think we will) I won't even watch our baseball team next season.
He took the keys to a Ferrari and totaled it. Next he's going to come back and set it on fire.

No trade necessary. Take him.

Was the pitching staff the problem this year? It is college baseball so sometimes you will wind up on the bad end of a lopsided score but USC really got pantsed in a couple of games.

Can some of the losses be chalked up to injuries? (Including in the pitching staff) Certainly.
But Holbrook's own managerial in-game decisions have costs us a number of games (Clemson comes to mind). Just a handful of those decisions could've led to just a few more wins and consequently a few more series victories.
Would made all the difference in the world of us getting in the tournament.

Is he fired yet? Can we end this saga already? I'm tired of reading about it.

I notice you are mysteriously absent in my other thread about who will win the CWS next
You're pretty good at not reading that, so maybe apply the same method here?

I'm not Serranaux. I stay away from threads that try to predict the future.

Interesting that you stalk my threads enough to point one out that I predicted the conference as a whole in getting into the tournament. Not the same.
You know what I meant. I don't try to proclaim Florida as victors before it happens. That's bad mojo.
